I was today years old when I learned that Colin Jost is married to Scarlett Johansson.
So, you're saying that you were unaware that in the upcoming shot for shot remake of "Oceans 11," Scarlett Johansson will be playing the role originated by Sammy Davis, Jr.?

I am sorry but I have no idea what you are asking me.

Nothing to apologize for, just yet another of my lame attempts at humor. Periodically Jost and Che have bit where they write jokes for each other and the first time the one reading the joke sees it, is when it appears to him on the teleprompter on live TV. And so we get to see his reaction to the joke, live. One of the bits that Che wrote for Jost involved a reboot of Oceans 11 with Scarlett Johansson taking over the Sammy Davis, Jr. role. And Jost's reaction when he saw the joke is just priceless. Cause if you are married to someone like Scarlett Johansson--among other things, the whitest woman alive--you really don't want to do anything to make her mad on live TV.

I clicked to see thoughts on SNL and woke up here.

Didn't go back very far. Forgive if already posted. SNL defines "woke".

I guess if no one know what it is then getting rid of it should not matter
“Yeah let’s get rid of any policies and dialogue that attempt to address systemic inequality and disproportionate outcomes. It makes me feel bad to think about it so they should stop talking about it.”

I really hope they do not. It wins republicans elections because when its talked about, there is no common sense applied to it and it continues to help define the left as dei obsessed and that has proven to be a loser for the left.

Yeah, that's it. It surely doesn't have anything to do with a lot of people being racists, bigots, and scared to death for no reason with anyone who isn't a straight white Christian.

Anyone else watching tonight?

They're showing the very first episode as the 50th Anniversary Special is tomorrow night.

Kinda surprised there wasn't more on this thread with all that happened this past weekend.

First, the live concert streamed on Peacock on Friday night was terrific. I particularly enjoyed Eddie Vedder covering Tom Petty then playing a blistering "Corduroy". But the highlight had to be Post Nirvana [Grohl on drums, Smear on guitar, Novoselic on bass, with Post Malone on guitar and vocals] playing "Smells Like Teen Spirit."

Then, I thought last night's 50th Anniversary show was really well done. Were there a few clunkers? To be sure. But when has that ever not been the case with SNL? Black Jeopardy with Eddie Murphy as Tracy Morgan while Morgan was IN the skit as someone else was great. Some of the "skits that didn't age well" as introduced by Tom Hanks were cringeworthy though I thought bleeping Chevy Chase's retort leading to Richard Pryor's response of "dead honky" was unnecessary. Interesting to show the black and white film with Belushi visiting the graves of his fellow castmates as introduced by 88 year old Garrett Morris.
And closing with Macca performing the second half of the second side of Abbey Road ending with the iconic words of "The End" was just perfect.
