That already exists.
What already exists? The whole point of the commercial was to make women's flag football a high school varsity sport in all 50 states. Are you saying that it's already a varsity sport in all 50 states and the NFL ran that commercial for no reason?

We didn’t like seeing a shitty rapper mumble about his daddy for 20 minutes?
Bro just say you don't like the music of this particular artist and move on. Can you go ten seconds without whining that everything you see on TV isn't specifically curated for your personal enjoyment?

Can Kendrick go 15 minutes without worrying about Drake? After last night the answer to that question is a resounding "no".

What boy's sport are they going to cut in order to do that? According to that commercial, girls are better at football than boys, so why not just let every girl play varsity tackle against the boys?

Drake stan copium is as hilarious as it is stupid.

Dude performed the biggest song of 2024 that just won both Song of the Year & Record of the Year Grammys. Of course he was gonna perform that song and play it up a bit.

So I almost never watch the Super Bowl halftime show. I'm just not that interested.

But evidently I missed something worthwhile this time. From my reading it appears that Lamar had some very interesting things to say about certain segments of America preferring to be entertained rather than to think about what's in front of them.

The reaction would seem to jive with this interpretation. It's also not lost on me that media literacy among right-wing leaning individuals is remarkably low. These are people who got upset when they realized in like the fifth season that Homelander from the Boys was a bad guy.

Does anyone know where I can find a recording of this performance to watch it?

Over on YouTube of yo follow the link

Just goes to prove that Kendrick is nothing without Drake. The opposite is not true.

I watched the halftime show on mute because my husband took the chance to play guitar during halftime. So I just saw the visuals and people’s comments (accompanied by acoustic guitar of mostly classic rock songs). The visuals were a little weird to me that way but they always are in these big, short events that are dance productions as well as singing performances.

"Kendrick is nothing without Drake"

At this point, the unwillingness to engage with the "won a Pulitzer and 22 Grammys" side of the "nothing without Drake" argument, is either dense or bad faith.

90% of the talk about Kendrick right now is due to his diss of Drake. He's nothing without it, and he knows it. If Drake and all memories of him were somehow erased from existence, Kendrick would still be trying to sell his CDs in gas station parking lots. He's simply a rapper with an inferiority complex.

Not sure that song means that at all. Lamar was very popular long before that song. And Lamar certainly has Drake beat in terms of critical acclaim.

And maybe that song got popular because a lot of people don’t like Drake.

Did y’all watch the commercial? They were asking for female flag football as a varsity sport in all 50 states. No mention of flag football for everyone.
Who cares?? I can’t imagine getting bent out of shape this much over something so inconsequential.

It was the same ridiculous, boys are dumb and inferior trope that has been played out for a while now. You can build someone up without unfairly putting another group down.
It was a joke, not a dick. No need to take it so hard. You need a safe space to cry about it?

I was responding to a poster that said the ask was for a flag football league for girls only. That exists.

A lot of people don't like the most streamed male artist of all time, who has more number 1 hits than Lamar could ever dream of? Drake probably has 9 times as many fans as Lamar.

Three things I miss about the eighties - nobody gave a shit about how boys felt about being portrayed in commercials, you changed the station if you didn't like the song, and Super Bowl conversations were about football.

That was me. What I'm saying is that the point of the commercial was specifically to make girls' flag football a varsity sport in all 50 states. Which it is not. So the request is, in fact, for something that does not exist. What the commercial was not about is girls playing in boys' football leagues.

Why would they have to cut a boys' sport to make girls' flag football a varsity sport?

Your take on the commercial continues to be idiotic. Did you watch the Doritos commercial and get mad because there is not, in fact, any evidence that aliens love Doritos? Or is it just this commercial you insist on taking completely literally?
