So how did he achieve what he achieved prior to that song? Because he was apparently a very big deal before that. And you know he did appear in the halftime show two years ago as well., right?

Yeah, we should definitely choose the most obscure coffee shop artist possible for next year's show. After all, popularity shouldn't count for the world's most watched single television event of the year. I know a great guy who lives under a bridge who is really mad at birds. He'd be entertaining.

He was a moderately successful rapper beforehand. He only blew up because he started hating on Drake. Like I said, 90% of the conversation about last night's show is not "man, what a great message Kendrick had" or "man, what an amazing performance". Instead, it is "Kendrick said something mean about Drake AGAIN LOOOOOOOLLLLLL"

5 of those Grammys belong to Drake, and Pulitzers are for writing not performing music. I bet we could find a great Pulitzer winner to read an excerpt from a long-form article while sitting next to a fireplace during the next SB halftime show. That shit would be garbage too.

To be very clear, your contention is that a Pulitzer, serving as the musical director of one of the highest grossing films of all time, and 17 Grammys (charitably giving you this weird “5 Grammys belong to Drake” line) isn’t enough?

For the Superbowl Halftime Show? Absolutely, that is nowhere near enough. Hence why all Kendrick could do was mumble nonsensically about Drake for 20 minutes.

I'd argue that the people acting triggered are the Kendrick stans who literally can't comprehend that a lot of people didn't enjoy that show last night.
