The best fast food value for your buck

Prices aside, can't say that I do either. Credit for using real ingredients?

I find it hard to believe everyone doesn't live near a better quality Mexican restaurant

Totally agree. I feel spoiled for living in the East Bay, CA - there are more outstanding taquerias here than you can shake a stick at (I work in the Fruitvale in Oakland, which is a close second to the Mission in San Francisco). For the life of me, I don't get Chipotle (and there is one in Berkeley). It isn't bad, the ingredients do seem pretty good, but there just isn't much depth of flavor. I would hit the old Flying Burrito ever day of the week and twice on Sunday, before going to Chipotle.

And every city I have ever been in in the US has at least one Mexican restaurant that is hands down, no question, better than Chipotle.

Again, it is not bad, but to me it is decidedly meh at best.

(Not to yuck anyone's yum)

Casa Gallardo?
There was a Casa Gallardo in Richmond VA in the 80s. Growing up, we hit their all you can eat lunch buffet a lot after church. It was pretty good. My uncle (6 foot 6) was famous for saying "we're gonna put a hurtin' on them today" any time he was in town and we took him along.
