I’d wager this site won’t have 50% of the current traffic by close of 2026, possibly by emd of next summer, due to impending midterms. There are already mechanisms for bad actors to “report” people - we’re seeing Bondi focus on this right now. In the next few months, I fully expect a FBI/DHS easy report portal designed for maga to dime out neighbors, colleagues, family, and personas of the internets for “anti-American” speech.

Don’t worry I’m sure @Ramrouser and @Callatoroy will be here eminently to tell us this is no big deal and exactly the same as something Biden did, and @ZenMode will tell us that the real problem is that we shouldn’t be using the word fascism to describe the administration using the coercive power of the federal government to silence its critics.
 
One thing I think is highly likely is that Jon Stewart and John Oliver will be swinging for the fences on this one. I’d expect an Oliver episode on the first amendment imminently, hopefully accompanied by a song to Trump like the one they did for that shithead Bob Murray.
 
And Jimmy can just go make a streaming show on YouTube and probably gain followers cause fuck our networks
