The Tar River is already spilling over its banks in portions of Rocky Mount, especially at Sunset Park and along River Drive, but the city is saying to expect only minor flooding. We shall see. A lot of people here still have vivid memories of the Hurricane Floyd flood so they get real nervous when the river starts getting high.
