I can't tell you the last time I remember a vice president going to survey a disaster
Generally, one can't remember a VP doing anything!

Kamala was in NC this weekend.

Keep in mind this VP is running for POTUS against a Maleficent Falsehood Generator.

FL, NC are in play. Then hop to PA, WI, MI, NE2, AZ, NV

Be there.

Yes she was.

You post like you think she's not doing shit

Didn't you hear? Majorie Taylor Greene found some loony's patent application from 2004 for a weather modification device and that totally proves it's real.
Cloud seeding is still going on. We do it a lot here in Southern California:

To my knowledge, we haven't figured out how to increase hurricane intensity (other than ignoring the Paris climate accords) nor have we figured out how to steer such hurricanes with Exodus-like precision to just the Republican areas of the country.

That's just because you aren't a brave truth-seeker and question-asker like MTG who knows how to ferret out the truth that the Deep State is hiding.

On a non-hurricane note (though probably somewhat tied to Milton) it looks like central NC is in for our first stretch of honest-to-goodness fall weather, with highs in the 60s and low 70s and lows in the 40s and 50s over the next week or so. Personally it's my favorite weather of the year, where you can get away with barely running the AC or heat if you leave the windows open. And it's what I think of when I think of football weather - warm-ish in the day but you have to throw on a long-sleeved shirt or light coat when the sun goes down as it gets cool quickly. Also known as great firepit weather.

My dad's house still has one of those big ol' attic fans from the days before AC, pop 3 or 4 windows open and turn that sucker (no pun intended) on and it cools the whole house down in short order...

Last one i saw was at a fairly late model beach house (sound side) in the Topsail area
they are wonderful

Thank goodness this thing is supposed to weaken to a Cat 3 before landfall.
Unlikely now and there's a certain momentum with storm surge that will remain CAT4/5.

Reed Timmer is predicting CAT 4 on landfall. It's going to be a problem either was. Possible 12 foot storm surge in Tampa Bay.

My first house was an A-Frame on Lake Chickamauga. The ceiling didn't go all the way to the point, but there was a flat ceiling/crawl-space about 5 feet below the roof peak. When we purchased the house it had a real cheap ceiling fan in the living room, which extended up to the ceiling. (The second floor only consisted of one bedroom and a small bath. The rest was open above the living room.) I decided I would replace the cheap ceiling fan with a Hunter Fan. I figured out how to do from inside the crawl-space and it worked! I was so proud of myself. As I was making my way back to the access panel to the crawl space, my foot slipped off a joist and it went right through wall board that was the ceiling below the crawl-space. My wife was down in the living room and just couldn't help herself from laughing at my leg sticking out of the ceiling. But ever resourceful, I looked at the hole my foot/leg had made, where it was, and decided that if I expanded it a bit, I could put in a whole house exhaust fan. And I did. It was wonderful. On cool evenings when the day had been hot and, consequentially, the house was still hot, turning on the attic fan just sucked the cool air in, pushed the hot air out the ridge vent, and cooled the house down in about 10 minutes.
