The models have actually been looking better today. Most of them show anywhere from 2 to 6 inches of snow for the Triangle.

I think the sweet spot in NC is going to be from 95 down to 64 to 87 to 40 and then up 501.

This system has been a roller coaster. One model comes out and shows a massive hit and the next shows nothing. Back and forth for days and it still doesn't seem settled. Who knows what will happen and we're less than 24 hours away.

I love how WRAL mets are always in CYA mode when it comes to potential winter storms here. They always go with the models that looks the worst and then make sure to say everything that could go wrong to reduce their already conservative totals.

The folks on that americanwx forum are fantatics....I thought I used to like to follow the weather.... then I read that forum.

If they had an ignore button I could handle it (Heck maybe they do and I am too dumb to figure it out....0

I mean I read it for events like this but good lord the "well the 3z OH QPCP model had a dry intake zone..." just makes me like "ummm why you not on the news?"

Things are looking pretty good for the Triangle. Already reports of snow in Raleigh.

Winter storm warning out now for Wake and areas east and north. Calling for 3 to 5 inches of snow.
