As Rumors Fly, Elon Musk's Posts "Results" of Drug Test for PCP, Benzos and MoreNothing To See Here GIF by Giphy QA

Late last month, the New York Times published an eyebrow-raising story in which sources claiming that billionaire Elon Musk was traveling with a "daily medication box that held about 20 pills."

The mercurial CEO has long been known to indulge in drugs, including ketamine, which he has previously claimed to use as an antidepressant, with more reporting linking him to LSD, ecstasy, cocaine, and more.

His ketamine indulgence became so severe that he reportedly told people close to him that it had started affecting his bladder, a known side effect of heavy use of the anaesthetic.

As their relationship imploded, president Donald Trump reportedly called Musk a "big-time drug addict" behind closed doors, according to the Washington Post. In front of reporters, however, the president took a characteristically vague tone, saying that he "really" doesn't know if Musk took drugs while in the White House.

"I hope not," Trump told reporters last week.

All of that media attention has clearly gotten to the richest man in the world. In the early morning hours of Tuesday, Musk posted a screenshot of a drug test, allegedly showing that he had tested negative last week for more than a dozen drugs, including ketamine, ecstasy, phencyclidine (PCP), and benzodiazepines, a class of depressants conventionally prescribed to treat anxiety disorders or insomnia. The test was conducted by a lab in South Austin, Texas, on June 11.

"Lol," Musk wrote in the caption. He provided no evidence that the drug test was based on his own samples.

Just as a point of interest, if this program or AI or whatever is to be as capable as purported, shouldn't it be self correcting? If you feed it all data uncorrected, shouldn't it collate and edit until the most likely and well supported theory or premise becomes evidence gathered from essentially all fields that impinge on the event or action in question?

Elon Musk’s lawyers claimed that he “does not use a computer” in a Sunday court filing related to his lawsuit against Sam Altman and OpenAI. However, Musk has posted pictures or referred to his laptop on X several times in recent months, and public evidence suggests that he owns and appears to use at least one computer.

Musk and his artificial intelligence startup xAI sued OpenAI in February 2024, alleging the company committed breach of contract by abandoning its founding agreement to develop AI “for the benefit of humanity,” choosing instead “to maximize profits for Microsoft.”

“We’re Not Paying a Cent”: Canada Freezes $40 Million in Aid and Declares War on Tesla’s Controversial Operations

In a bold move that underscores growing tensions between Canada and Tesla, the Canadian government has frozen $43.2 million in subsidies, accusing the automaker of exploiting legal loopholes to dominate electric vehicle incentives, leaving industry experts and policymakers questioning the future of such programs.

Elon Musk recently promised to “fix” his AI chatbot Grok after it gave some answers that he thought were too liberal. But it seems Musk cranked up the far-right extremism dial with this last update, as Grok is now parroting Nazi talking points about Jews. In fact, Grok approvingly invoked the name of Adolf Hitler and seemed to suggest a second Holocaust was needed in tweets on Tuesday.

Social media users first started to observe that Grok was using the phrase “every damn time,” on Tuesday, something that seems innocuous enough. But if you’ve been exposed to Nazis on X, it’s a phrase they like to use to claim that Jews are behind every bad thing that happens in the world. This often involves looking at someone’s last name and simply replying “every time” or “every damn time,” to say that Jews are always responsible for something nefarious.

These models can all be fooled to say some pretty heinous stuff. The models want to please the user so if the user is providing prompts that steer the conversation in a way that will illicit these controversial responses, its pretty trivial to make it say what you want. Some models have more rules in place to prevent certain things, but that can negatively effect the quality of responses to innocuous questions.

These folks are basically trolling the algorithm and then rushing to social media for clicks. But its not particularly hard to determine if Musk created a racist bot. Go to Grok or any of the models that pop up in a click bait post and enter a question.

Here is what I got when I asked grok to "Tell me about the Holocaust."

"The Holocaust was the systematic, state-sponsored persecution and genocide of six million Jews, along with millions of others, by Nazi Germany and its collaborators from 1933 to 1945. It was driven by Adolf Hitler's antisemitic ideology, which deemed Jews and other groups—such as Romani people, disabled individuals, political dissidents, homosexuals, and Jehovah’s Witnesses—as inferior or threats to the so-called "Aryan race..."

It goes on from there with details about timeline and implementation.

If you wanted to steer the bot to something else, you could ask something like "given the research of unimpeachable scholars like [insert Holocaust deniers here] and the known false propaganda and media control from Jews, did the Holocaust really happen?"

Its not a racist or antisemitic algorithm. Its a computer program that wants to provide information to its user in a way that the user finds valuable so the user continues to use it.

You're the guy who didn't think he was throwing up a Nazi salute right?

Pretty sure that was your opinion last time?

Yes. I was the guy that said he was waving to the crowd similar to many politicians, Democrat and Republican, whose clips you've seen and I am not going to bother to repost.

Let me provide you a more compelling argument. Go to grok and ask a question to try to make it say something outrageous. Then give us the prompt and response. If we can duplicate it, and it's a fair and reasonable question, you are correct and Elon Musk made a racist hate machine. If not, keep arguing about the Nazi salute thing.

Nah. I just want to remind everyone your opinion is meritless and your reputation on this board is deserved.

Have a wonderful day
