Done with you. You are either very naive or very stupid if you think anything Trump does is for good.
 
I think it's pretty clear the admin was, at a minimum, testing whether NG deployment (a) sufficiently bothered blue cities and their leadership, (b) distracted from unfavorable stories, (c) played well with the base, and (d) was a beneficial wedge issue.

The answer being yes to all of the above, I'd expect it to continue.

LA was just marines standing around federal buildings.

DC was an effective program to actively address crime in an area that is in the jurisdiction of the federal government.

For some reason, the federal government taking steps to decrease crime in a federal run area has many people upset.

DC is not under the jurisdiction of the federal government in the sense you are conveyjng here. Not at all.
 


This is true (and I don’t think Trump wants a solution other than get them out of sight), but it’s not like we’ve seen anyone else in this country with a humane solution that has had more than incremental success.
