Sounds like to me he wants to radically improve transparency and accountability in government and prevent spying on US citizens. That's opposite from what a fascist would do.
Could you please give examples of persons spied on. Don't include legal investigations. If I remember correctly during his previous "administration"- more a f'ing sideshow - he proposed that he should have his own intelligence agency separate from CIA, etc., that would report directly to him.

He'll always be a...

All I can say is, where is the Deep State when you need them?! The Deep State can apparently control hurricanes, directing them to the NC mountains, but Trump is still alive and well, and even won the election! I thought the Deep State was all powerful.

The only way I’m going to get through these years is by optimism. So I’m just trying my best to put that out there in the universe.

We are going to face big challenges. But we can come out of this stronger on the other side and with a better society. People have been through worse before.
So long as this country maintains free elections I’m optimistic. Both parties have proven when they were in control of the government that they eventually will fuck up and leave the door open for the other party.

Do you support spying on political campaigns and us citizens?
You didn't ask me but I will respond.
1) Yes I support spying on a campaign when there is clear evidence that threat against USA, fraud, criminal activities, etc, before spying, all exist. Then, there were many such things found in investigation. Gen Clark and Manafort meeting with Putin insiders as campaign reps of Trump, Clark not reporting and hiding his acting as an agent of foreign country. They learned about how Russians encroached our elections to favor Trump. What they DID NOT have, is proof of any specific Russian actions in partnership or other compensation. But they were close. Trump's people did send U.S. polling data to Putin.

2) Yes, I support spying on private citizens. Much shorter answer here. Criminals, murderers, white collar crime, fraud, gangs, double agent spies, on and on, are private citizens.

Not exactly on topic but, if the deep state is so powerful, how have Republicans won anything, much less everything?
Look up Putin’s quote. To date it hasn’t mattered who or what party, they all get told what’s up when they get into office.
