TV Streaming series to talk about.

It’s nice to know that Will Ferrell is one of the good ones.
It's an interesting show. I like the story that's being told. I hope that many people watch it and it hits home that this is a person trying to live their life just as we all do.

Will Ferrell seems to be like his character Elf somewhat in real life.

I thought the Menendez monsters limited series on nflx was good

I enjoyed Bad Monkey because of Vince Vaughn and the breezy crime romp style out of Pynchon or Elmore Leonard.

But it really wasn’t that great, including some very annoying characters. Not the least of which was the grumpy voiceover guy I could’ve done without.

It took me a while to get into Hacks but I’m halfway through season 2 and I’m loving it now.

I actually loved the narrator. I thought the show was great up until the last two episodes. Then it fell a little flat. But I enjoyed it overall.

Nobody Wants This (Netflix) is surprisingly good. It has a bit of a Fleabag vibe (a must watch if you haven’t already), but a little less raw and edgy.

My wife watched that, it's not for me.

I did read it's based on a true story. How well they represented the actual story, I do not know.

The last episode was shit. Like, you could have gone for a couple more episodes and had things play out...not just "oh look they are all dead in various ways. the end"

Yep. They took us on a journey, but when we got to the final destination, Wally World was closed.

Yeah I guess, but this is why I see it as something more like an Elmore Leonard novel. It’s about the ride, the atmosphere, the funny lines and scenes, the vibe. The ending was no more nor less enjoyable than the rest of it for me.

I was watching one of the old West Wing seasons. The Israel/Gaza stuff could have been taken from today's headlines.

I watched episode 1 of Ancient Apocalypse.

Why do shows like this take very interesting topics and make the shows horrible with the way they present the topic?

This first episode is about an archeological site in Gunung Padang.

The site is interesting. The research about it is interesting. But they way they present it, slow and deliberate with a hint that they are going to expose something, maybe aliens or proof a deity built it is annoying and slow. The show could have probably been half the time and more interesting had they just presented the information and facts that they have.

It's like one of those dateline mysteries that repeats itself over and over and over to stretch a 10 minute story into an hour.

But the site was very interesting.
