had the last batter set up for a change up but overthrow him with his fastball which put him on 1st and now we are down 2 runs. Need a big inning

You and me both. I thought in person his hand was broken. I especially thought that when Forbes got to the mound and immediately signaled to the dugout to warm someone.

We are ranked 11th. 6-3 in acc with two tough series behind us. I don't know how good we will be but this is baseball. Living and dying on every game in baseball is many times worse than doing so in basketball and football.
 
Badly needed that one to avoid an 0-2 record at home in ACC series, with a really tough GT squad still let to play in CH plus tough road series at ND, Clemson, and NC State remaining, as well. We'd have put ourselves in a sizable hole (not insurmountable, but sizable nonetheless) for hosting June baseball at the Bosh. I figure we probably put ourselves squarely in the conservation for Regional host with 4 more series wins (assuming no bad losses), and can almost assuredly host with 5 more series wins.
 
Looks like Notre Dame entered the top 25 rankings today just in time for our series in South Bend this weekend. It’s great for UNC and great for the league when teams like Notre Dame, Boston College, and even Pittsburgh have solid clubs and are not complete and total albatrosses around our necks from an RPI standpoint.
