I am no expert But if we make the Bid-we won't be close to Dayton--that is for 16 type bids -we would be like 10-12 Right?

I don't know if we'll make it or not, but I'm going to have a hard time getting upset if we don't get in. Don't get me wrong, if we are in I'll cheer like crazy for us to win as many games as possible, but despite all the metrics about the tough schedule we played and that we are not ranked that low in some measurements like KenPom and NET, the fact remains that we are an awful 1-12 in Quad 1 games, finished fifth in a historically weak ACC, and went 0-5 against the Top 3 teams in the ACC this year (0-3 against dook and 0-2 against Louisville and Clemson, including a blowout loss at Clemson). It's not a good look, no matter how one tries to mitigate it using other measurements. If we get in today it will be less because we've earned it than because of our name brand and the viewers we bring to games, imo. At the same time if we do sneak in I'll certainly take it, as I said earlier.
 
The funny thing is the name might actually keep UNC out and other teams get in that are no as good from the mid-majors. People expect UNC to win. They played a much tougher schedule than the mid-majors that will get in. But people expect UNC to win those quad one games, at least some of them. It's tougher for the bigger schools to get in like UNC because the mid-majors don't have to win quad 1 games to get in. They get in because they were the best in their conference, even though there are other teams that are probably better than them that won't get in because they are in the major conferences.

Extremely happy for this team. Improved and put themselves in a position to be selected after about a month of elimination games

A play-in game is certainly fitting given their season. Now time to validate the selection

All things considered, a really good draw as an 11 seed
