Yeah, especially with the floor spread. How many shots did we miss within 3 feet? I suspect that there is going to be a great deal of discussion about the KISS approach to layups and drives in practice.
 
Unsaid so far as I can tell, is that we closed the game out with a 21-5 run. We can wring our hands all we want about everything else we didn't like, but that run was reminiscent of any number of the late second half lockdowns we had last season. Again, we shouldn't have let Elon have a lead as late in the game as they did but I liked seeing us dig deep, take the lead back, and then keep going strong.
 
The last time we beat Kansas, we were unranked and they were ranked #2. We went on to miss the NCAAT; they went on to play in the national championship game. The head coach they had at the time became our head coach the following season. We won the national championship two years later.
 
While we have not beaten Kansas in our last 4 tries, we have beaten them the last 2 times we played them in November (in 1981 and 2002).

Our guys know they have nothing to lose. Should be a fun game

How well they compete on the glass tonight could be very encouraging (or not) for the rest of the season
 
It’s going to be tough for the Heels to stay close tonight. For us to stay close:

Need to run and get fast break points;
Spread the court with dribble penetration;
Rebound;
Freshman need to step up;
Tyson needs to hit 3s.
