I understand that we have played good teams. If UNC is also a good team though, it eventually has to start actually winning some of these games.Perhaps you might look at who we lost to.

It kind of is.it’s not doomsday pearl clutching to be at least somewhat concerned that we already have 3 losses by Thanksgiving lol. Come on now.
It’s all part of the process. These games are to see what you’ve got. The Heels have shown that there’s a lot in place. The fine tuning takes place now in practice. We have some promising things, but dang HD needs to acknowledge our deficiencies and change up D every so often. Throw in some zone for 2- 3 min stretches, trap, etc instead of sitting back and getting pillaged off set plays. We can't give up 90+ every game and expect to make the tournament. As excited as I am with Jackson's offense, his off ball D is about as bad as I've seen. Just dreadful. Drake is the future.
Yep. The team has shown flashes for sure and I think can be pretty good, but these early season games all still count. The reality is that if we lose all or most of our non-con matchups against other good teams, that will really hurt our tournament seeding, or even tournament berth chances if we struggle in ACC play.Agree, but if we don’t beat Alabama it will be nearly impossible for us to snare a halfway decent seed in the Tourney, given the weakness of the ACC. We need a quality win soon.
Bama is basically a must win game. Considering how down the ACC seems to be this year it’s going to be hard to get back up in the polls and seeds if they lose that game. (Outside of dook, were are the other top-tier games? Maybe UF?)Agree, but if we don’t beat Alabama it will be nearly impossible for us to snare a halfway decent seed in the Tourney, given the weakness of the ACC. We need a quality win soon.
You win a cardboard cookie for being the toughest keyboard warrior in his moms basement.Nostradumbass speaks.

With three losses already, that's just the way the math works out when taking into account the remaining OOC schedule, a 20 game conference slate, and the nature of postseason tournaments.Probably not.
Oh it’s possible I’m just betting on less than 10. The ACC is weak this year. With three losses already, that's just the way the math works out when taking into account the remaining OOC schedule, a 20 game conference slate, and the nature of postseason tournaments.
The ACC was weak last year too and a more talented, complete UNC team went 17-3. We likely will have to duplicate that conference record to avoid a double digit loss season and I can't see that happening unless we magically discover that Bacot has another year of eligibility.Oh it’s possible I’m just betting on less than 10. Went to the 73 NIT semi-final when we lost to ND at the old MSG. Had tix to final but decided to enjoy the city instead. The fans today are the equivalent of the people who were born on third. In the 60s, making the tournament wasn't a given. I remember our trip to the NIT in my freshman year in the Spring of 71. I think I might value the team more because of that history than I value the team's success. UNC basketball and its values have for a long time run more deeply than the win/loss record to me.
Iow, all you whiners go piss up a rope.
sadly, spot on.A lot to get figured out. No decent 5 and the team’s best option at 4 is a freshman playing out of position
At the point in the season we can see Jwash hasn’t taken a leap and Tyson won’t be a major contributor
Get the defense sorted and continue to develop the freshman and this team can still be pretty fun to watch and beat most teams
