Defense looks better playing a zone. The man defense is awful. No movement on offense. Just passing the ball back and forth or dribbling around. No screens and no movement off the ball.
 
It's halftime and literally all of our points have been scored by about 24 feet worth of players. I can't remember ever seeing anything like that.
 
I knew last season that we were going to miss Armando Bacot this year.

After we struck out in recruiting a big in the portal, I knew we'd really miss Armando Bacot this year.

I had no idea that I'd be nostalgic for the inside play of Kris Lang this year.
 
Just think of all the teams in the country that have a better inside game than we have and most of them doesn't even have an NIL or minimal at best. It's just a huge failure by Davis
 
I have not been able to understand how the revenue sharing that will begin next year will put us on par with the other big-time programs from the SEC and Big Ten. Can someone please try to explain it to me? It just seems like it will raise the floor of every team, leaving those ahead of us still ahead of us. How will that not be the case?

My middle school self drew the inspiration for the jump hook as my signature move on the basketball court directly from Kris Lang.
 
If we lose this game our season is over. It may be over anyways, but falling to a losing record, at home, against an awful shorthanded Georgia Tech would all but guarantee that we are going absolutely nowhere this season.
 
At 9:16 in the first half after Seth's first free throw, did everyone notice that Seth fist bump the GT player. 😁
 
I don't think it's too hard to figure out what's wrong with the team:

1. EC's TOs are up about 50% from last year
2. RJ is shooting 24% from deep.

These two players were the reason that people were optimistic about this team. One was an all-American last year and he's giving us basically freshman Caleb; the other was supposed to be the new Kendall Marshall. Both are playing poorly.

Now the underlying root cause might be more complex, but these two players' underperformance is killing us.

Edit: and our big portal get has made 8 FGs through 8 games.
