Feels like it’ll be a battle of styles, and if they can slow the game down and muck it up, it could be a rock fight. But Gwath can’t be any better than Maluach, so if the Heels can play like they did in that second half, then they can control things even if shots aren’t falling from deep. I know that their fans are up in arms about Carolina making it in, but mostly because they would rather be playing someone else.

I feel cautiously optimistic. Leaning more optimistic than cautious.

Supposedly not a great rebounding team, which is an odd profile for a team so good defensively. Have to rebound and get out in transition

Maluach came to mind too. Gwath is more mobile though, a bit more skilled from the perimeter. He is willing to shoot the 3 and put the ball on the floor. Game shape though is a big question mark

Duke 2x in general in the last week is great prep. SDST will seem small, though maybe a bit more physical, in comparison
 
Heels have the opportunity to shut up the haters that said they shouldn't have been in the tournament. Hope they get the job done.

Does anyone ever dwell on just how ephemeral our concerns are to a being 14 billion years old? Some of what's behind my cynicism concerning a personal relationship with God.

We had a very legit chance to beat 2 seed MSU, 1 seed Florida, and 1 seed Duke. I don’t see how you can assume that our ceiling is losing to a weakened Iowa State team.

The reality is that we are unlikely to go far because of inconsistency and lineup/coaching challenges. That said, this team’s ceiling is pretty high given its comeback ability against elite teams.

Yeah, I think that's part of the "ceiling is two wins" idea. It's hard to imagine the team putting together three straight good games against good competition.
