Everytime I see or hear Musk's name mentioned now I keep remembering the comment that in just a few years he's moved from being a real-life Tony Stark to a real-life Victor von Doom. Disgusting.

At worst, that's an inappropriate figure of speech. To consider that threatening language qualifies you as a contender for snowflake of the century.

If this is accurate, then that was no kind of threat. Do you really want to argue that in this usage that target is any different or more threatening at all than focus? Feel free to look like a fool and do so. I think it's referred to as "straining at a gnat and swallowing a camel".

But to a deranged individual it looks exactly like his party is being threatened by a Hitler type person who is a threat to democracy and therefore is doing his party a favor by killing him. It's odd isn't it that 2 days later someone tried killing him. After all his rallies and speaking engagements 2 days after Biden said this someone tried to kill him.

Deranged is the operative word. Btw, iirc, the shooter was once a Trump voter, so I doubt that was the trigger. (Oh no. How dare I use such a word?).

Do you think the dog owner whose dog was sending messages to kill to the Son of Sam killer had any responsibilities for those killings.

He did. That's why Trump is a more forgiving person than I would have been. If Trump held grudges he sure wouldn't have picked him.
I remember Trump saying in an interview that if he held grudges on things people said about him or what he's said about them he wouldn't have any friends. If course he said it in a kidding way.
