Yes, but that's a biased sample. By definition those are people who have co-workers across the ocean. Are any of your co-workers proprietors of small B & Bs in the Loire Valley?I'd guess MOST Europeans know the difference in the two candidates waaaaay more than your average American. American's are extremely poorly informed.
I have co-workers in Norway, Netherlands, Australia, Italy, and the UK and they all more informed on US political issues than the American workers.
