Virginia is pretty safe. I think I could help the cause more by driving vans full of illegals from the border to NC, so they can vote there. That October caravan ain’t gonna transport itself to key states!

As of an hour ago, I have voted in VA. Early voting is so much easier/quicker…I’m not sure why anyone would wait until Election Day when the early option is available.

Opposite in NC. Lines are way longer for early voting in Wake. Election Day is empty.

The more people who vote the earlier the better, the more focused the get out the vote effort can be. All the vote info, in terms of who,s cast a ballot is public record, and this includes early voting. Early voting makes the get out the vote effort dramatically more effective.

I remember standing in long lines for ages to early vote in 2000 in Chapel Hill and 2010 in Durham. But also really short lines early voting in Carrboro once. I mostly voted on Election Day when I was in N.C., and it was always pretty quick.

Been voting in Wake County my whole life and that hasn't been my experience

Probably varies by precinct.

I also really like Election Day vibes. I took the day off in 2008 and 2012. This year, I'm taking Nov. 6 off.

My colleague like early voting. She falls into the "in case I get hit by a car" camp. lol
