Yeah, Trump and some other Trumper Republicans have been saying totally contradictory things in their campaign rallies, and they don't care because they've realized that no one is going to call them out on it, and their base simply doesn't care. Propose budget-busting tax cuts and then still claim that you're going to balance the budget, etc.

Yep, we see these conflicting (and false) MAGA talking points all the time with zero consequences.

January 6th was a peaceful tour of the Capitol, but also the violent Insurrection of January 6th was carried out by Antifa and the FBI.

FEMA was nowhere to be found during the aftermath of Hurricane Helene in Western NC, but also FEMA was confiscating charitable goods and arresting Good Samaritans during the aftermath of Hurricane Helene in Western NC.

Etc.

As a side note, Trump lost a suit about using the Isaac Hayes penned song “Hold On, I’m Coming” for campaign events but he uses the title here as a bit of a thumb in the eye to the Hayes estate.
 
As bad as he was in 2016 and 2020 - and it was plenty bad - I do think he's gotten worse this year, hard as it is to believe. Practically everything he's saying is a flat-out lie now - lies about hurricane relief, lies about Kamala's background, lies about Democrats aborting babies after they're born, lies and more lies about immigrants in the USA, including those, like the Haitians, who are here perfectly legally, and on and on. And there is also the utterly shameless, budget-busting promises that he'll cut taxes practically to nothing for everybody if they just vote for him, and that he'll pay for it all with his stupid tariffs, even though he clearly doesn't have a clue as to how they actually work. It's fascinating to watch in a nightmarish, disgusted kind of way.
