I really do think we are hosed as a country.
First of all, the media has been on for 48 hours telling us either about some comedian or some comment from the president. Neither of these comments will make a lick of difference to the average American. You mean to tell me they have known Joe Biden for decades and now they think he thinks Americans are trash? Please. We have an incompetent media and they really should be the voice of the people.
Economic news is good and has been good. The media’s job is not to hold the Democrats water but just report the facts. The era of high inflation is over. The unemployment numbers are low. We achieved the unthinkable of a soft landing. None of that is talked about. They allow distractions like this comedic BS or some offhand comment by Biden. Who the hell cares?
When’s the last time you saw real reporting that helped folks understand why inflation was high. Why it went down. The complexities that Biden handled and kept American safe? No. Too busy chasing the next shiny object that will help jump ratings for a day or so. Ive had my issues with Biden. I wish the Democrats would double down on populism. I wish they would push America forward for lower and middle income Americans. But with that said, Biden and Harris have done an unbelievable job. So many issues and challenges and got through them all. Again - not asking for them to be cheerleaders. But do some reporting. Why were things like they were and now that they are better - why?
The race shouldn't be close but they instead of reporting facts, they allowed things like inflation and girl sports and they/them to take hold instead of not getting distracted.
