I truly hate to do this, but because I haven’t seen any of our Republican friends on the board outright deny that they molest children, I’ve reluctantly got no choice but to assume that they do. You hate to see it, but it’s just one of those unfortunate side effects of aligning yourself with the party of kiddie diddling. You just kinda sorta get painted with extremely assumptive broad brush strokes. Sad!

Yes. Everyone here condemned SJP. I know I did. I was sickened when I saw what they were posting. They probably number about 1000-2000 hard core members nationally. I have no idea what % of them are leftists. Probably some, but definitely not all.

In no way shape or form does participation in an event hosted by a group mean that the person endorses every aspect of the group. When you vote GOP, does that mean you endorse every single thing that Trump does? Does your vote mean that you think all white-collar criminals who Trump likes or who gives him money should get pardoned? That would be weird. What it does mean is that, if you disagree with the pardons, you give that lawlessness less priority in your voting than it ought to have, in my view at least. I also think it was your view not that long ago, but I digress.

Of all the people to be clamoring to lump peace protesters in with Hamas just because some organization sponsored an event, maybe it shouldn't the guy who likes to proclaim that he votes GOP because he doesn't like the Dems but by no means agrees with everything the GOP does.
I’m glad you at least condemn SJP.

Let me clarify my position about endorsing every aspect of a group. I thought I made this clear but perhaps I didn’t make this point well since two people have taken the angle you did.

I know for a fact that plenty of the liberal UNC kids who showed up at that protest aren’t actually pro-Hamas just because they attended an SJP protest. They’re just too dumb to realize what SJP represents. Those kids mostly just think they’re being trendy and being good little soldiers and social justice warriors.

So yeah, of course I get it that not every person in the protest has all the same beliefs. That’d be silly. But when someone says there is virtually no one that’s pro-Hamas but you see the turnout UNC had at a protest put on by a pro-Hamas group in SJP, it’s easy to see how those people get roped into being labeled pro-Hamas as well by people on the other side.

You seem a bit obsessed with my post so I'll respond. Admittedly it was a somewhat harmless mistake - does it really change the broader point that AE has benefitted substantially by the ad? The number of $300M didn't seem that unrealistic to me given the frenzy the ad created since I initially thought these jeans sold in the $200 -$300 range. As I've subsequently discovered American Eagle jeans are relatively inexpensive selling from $35 to $89.
So wait...rather than admit your mistake was based around your complete disconnect of retail sales volume vs stock market cap, you want to now insist that it was simply a mistake in your understanding of the retail price of the jeans? So you're now stating that you believed that American Eagle sold 1 to 1.5 million pairs of jeans in a single day?

I’m glad you showed up. I was about to tag you and ask if you feel aligned with Hamas as a member of the LGBTQ community! That poster seems to believe that you are automatically a terrorist supporter.

Even just taking the UNC protest that happened in recent years, those protests were organized by “Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP)”. SJP is absolutely pro-Hamas. National SJP described Hamas' actions on October 7 as a “historic win for Palestinian resistance" and a “strategic counteroffensive against their settler-colonial oppressor”.

So yeah, if you are attending a protest organized by a pro-Hamas group, it’s fair to label you as pro-Hamas and pro-terrorism.

Obviously, many of the individuals attending such protests wouldn’t say they are actually pro-terrorism if polled. They’ve just been brainwashed by left wing propaganda about Israel vs Hamas and they think Israel is an oppressor and Hamas is oppressed.
I would ask you how you'd label these protesters but you've previously made it known that you're good with everything that happened that day, so no need to ask.

But I'll apply your logic and say that they are all traitorous insurrectionist who were brainwashed by right wing propaganda about a stolen election.

I was saying that the existence of Bernie, Mamdani and Tlaib allows the Right, in their minds, to paint the entire Dem party as jew-hating, socialist, Communist, terrorist supporters.

The fact that Bernie IS Jewish is a detail that is irrelevant to those who want to make broad generalizations.

"hopefully it was tongue in cheek and you were mocking the right a bit?"

correct.

Yeah...sure.

Here's what I will tell you i am confident of...id be a LOT more likley to put my own ass on the line to go after someone who was in any terror organization than the beta-boys who line up to lick Trump's taint.

At this point it is the official position of the Republican Party and the current Presidential administration that the 2020 election was, in fact, stolen, that Trump was the rightful winner, and that none of the people who stormed the Capitol on J6 did anything wrong. And Trump made that very clear that it was his position during the campaign. I wonder how many of our resident board pubs would admit to agreeing with those things?

Who are YOU calling "too dumb"? Man, that's not a line you want to take, I wouldn't think. You are not, shall we say, particularly gifted intellectually. That doesn't mean you're a bad person, but it does mean that maybe calling others "too dumb" is risible at best. You are certainly, by your own admission, not well informed about the world. Logic is clearly not a strong suit, as evidenced by years or more of your posting.

You've demonstrated knowledge in . . . zero fields on this board. I think you said you were an accountant, and since we don't talk much accounting here, I'll accept that at face value. So maybe you're a good accountant, I have no idea. But accounting ain't exactly quantum mechanics, ya know? It ain't brain surgery or constitutional law either. So again, you're throwing rocks from Saran Wrap houses

Is this sort of like how you keep voting for Trump because you're "too dumb" to realize what he represents?

Or would it be more accurate to say that you do know what he represents and you just don't care as long as your taxes go down by a few hundred dollars and the libs are appropriately owned?

My bad. Sorry for any confusion my post may have caused. ;)

You always have this odd desire to go into my intellectual credentials on this anonymous message board. Very strange.

Given your recent posts about stimulation of the butthole during sex, your recent loss of okra, and your lack of socks, I don’t think you should be the one calling balls and strikes about the merits of what anyone else posts on this board or what my contributions to the board are.

I have no need to defend my credentials to you but I’ll just leave it that I’m perfectly content with my academic and intellectual chops, and with where my career is already in my mid-30s.

The reason that the right equates Palestinians with Hamas is because they need to be able to paint democrats as terrorists so they have cover to vote for a convicted felon/liar/sexual predator/tariff-raising/economy killing/twice impeached/wanna-be dictator.

I'm not going to your credentials. I'm going to your accusations lobbed at other people. And I'm judging you by what you post.

If you don't like my off-topic posts, fine but that has no bearing at all on the validity of the vast majority of my posts. Someone with intellectual ability would see that. The fact that this was your response is sort of the point: other people are not dumb compared to you. Rather, you just don't really understand logic very well.

How about you try to write a post with at least one full paragraph and no logical fallacies, incorrect information, or theoretical misunderstandings. I mean, that's a pretty low bar, don't you think? That would put you on par with an average high school student, which is I guess not nothing.
