"After forty-three years of faithful service in uniform to our Nation, protecting and defending the Constitution, I do not wish to spend whatever remaining time the Lord grants me fighting those who unjustly might seek retribution for perceived slights. I do not want to put my family, my friends, and those with whom I served through the resulting distraction, expense, and anxiety."

Heck why not pardon them now so they know they can do what they want for 4 years. Imagine Musk with a pardon for everything in the future related to his businesses. Kiss my arse SEC

Future pardons don't exist ... yet. That is some Minority Report shit.

Thinking through the possibilities...it can get twisted real quick.
You honestly think Trump needed a role model?

Seems to me that Biden trusted Trump to be exactly the vengeful asshole he promised to be. He decided protecting others meant more than his reputation. It's not like it wasn't apparent that no one seemed to give a shit about what Trump had announced about his plans.

Yeah, complaining about Biden setting negative precedents after Trump 1.0 and now 2.0 is rich. Trump is wrecking pretty much every precedent and tradition set by his predecessors in many areas, and nearly all of what he's doing is negative, imo. If Biden wants to keep people like Fauci safe from being endlessly harassed by Trumpers until the poor man dies then so be it.

Kinda takes Trump off the hook. Prosecuting any of them would have been divisive. Now he can blame Biden. He'll get the political traction with those to whom it matters and not take any heat. Everybody wins.

Disagree. Trump doesn't care about division. He wanted to hurt them. Now, he's going to have to be more blatant in the attempt when he unleashes his toadies.
