Congratulations to President Trump

What this Country desperately needed was a decisive win by either side. Now that we have it I think/hope we bring the temperature down a bit.
Rs have renewed confidence in the voting systems and the electoral process.
Ds will get credit for returning us to a “normal” peaceful transition. Biden just gave a good speech on that.
Rs and Trump will have their turn for 2 years.
In two years, Ds will take back the House and/or Senate and be back in the game.

I know this is more about a thumb in our eye than anything else because that is how you people are. A thread to "pat yourself on the back" is pathetic but on brand however.

"Sometimes I think it had to happen this way" you're right though about this. Which is why I'm glad there is no excuse for you guys now. When your sad sack lives are no better, and in fact worse off, than they are now there won't be any dem to blame. You'll find a way though, your kind always does. Mark down the prices of things now and compare it year to year. I hope you get 3 straight terms of this bs and watch rural America be further hollowed out. It'll be nothing but tobacco stores and dollar generals before you know it.
 
I would never make a name for myself like "Obamafanboy" or buy hundreds of dollars of Obama merch.

I did buy his Time mag cover because of the historic nature (along with my JFK Life ones, etc). But yall need a real personal identity. It's kind of sad you find belonging in one person and that's who you become

Of course it would be welcome if many followed the teachings of Jesus and cared about the poor and less fortunate.

Trump and NIL have a lot in common. The corruption was always there in politics and college athletics, now its out in the open for all to partake.

Did Trump replace the ACA with the greatest health care policy in American history ?
Did Trump bring back millions of manufacturing jobs ?
Did Trump implement an infrastructure program to generate millions of jobs and repair our roads and bridges ?
Did Trump grow GDP by 4,5,6% ?
Did Trump balance the budget ?
Did Trump eliminate the national debt ?
Did Trump end birthright citizenship ?
Did Trump implement a hiring freeze on federal employees ?

No, he did not

I am holding out a sliver of hope that his campaign bluster is just that, and that he will fail as bigly as he did during his first term.

What's the point of a message board if we don't talk.

I'm actually not looking for an echo chamber where other opinions are not allowed, I want to understand others opinions. That played a role in my movement on many positions over the years.

It obviously does, I think two people have responded positively to the thread. Which was the intended purpose was for conservatives to be able to celebrate their win. Not for the dems to spill more vitriol.
But like you said when both sides talk is where conversations happen. So I am not opposed to it.

Other opinions are welcome. For example, I'm fine with posters like HY who have consistently contributed to this board, even if I disagree with him often. OP just now joined the board after Trump's reelection to gloat and troll.

I think the temperature will come down with Trump’s victory. Many Democrats have decided that this is what the country is and aren’t going to fight anymore. It makes it more likely that Republicans maintain political power for more than two years.

And Democrats deciding to cut Republicans out of their lives will drastically reduce the temperature as there won’t be anyone to fight with.

Republicans have truly been victorious as they get political power and also don’t have to deal with liberals in their social lives or churches.
