Whomst among us hasn’t voted for a guy whose campaign promise was to “let Bibi do whatever the hell he wants” as it pertains to Gaza/Palestinians, and whose first act as president – elect is to appoint an ambassador to Israel who says that Palestine isn’t a real thing!? Shocker! The guy who told you his goal it to build a Trump Tower on the Gaza Strip maaaaaaay not have had the best interests of the Arabs in mind!
Upvote for "whomst"...

I'm floored that they thought the alternative was better. FAFO
They voted to rehire Matt Doherty because they found Hubert's tenure to date to be unsatisfactory, only with much more dire, real world consequences. FAFO indeed.

Trump Gained 95,000 Votes in New York City. Democrats Lost Half a Million.

Truly. It was the mid 80s before there was much selection. I think Glenlivet was the second one they carried and it was the two until 80 or so.
I'm a value shopper with Scotch and for the money, I still drink more Black Label JW than anything. Or course, I'm a fan of blended.

I used to drink quite a bit of Famous Grouse so I'm not averse to blended. It just got to the point where the price points on excellent bourbon were better than on good blended scotch and I made the switch. I'll drink almost any decent whiskey although ,for some reason, I pay a much heavier price for drinking Irish the next day.

Famous Grouse and JW Black are both fine choices (fine as in good, not fine as in OK in a pinch - speaking of pinch, Dimple Pinch is a nice blended scotch too) but I drink so little scotch that when I do drink it, I'm almost always drinking an Islay single malt. Just love the flavor. I can't drink bourbon at all. I mean, I can, but I don't. I'm sure there are some out there that might change my mind, but in my experience I just can't tell much if any difference b/w bourbons. The flavor profile of all of them, to me, can be summed up as "hot." I guess there's a reason they call it fire water. But you can line up a dozen different scotches and each one will have a pretty unique flavor profile. I enjoy the variety...

Islay single malts are definitely my favorite scotch although I'll not turn up my nose at MaCallan, Glen Morangie, Dalwhinnie and a number of others. Hell, my favorite single malt for the money is Highland Park.

mirrors my journey with this fine drug.

What are your thought on Oban's? Was in Oban last spring to catch a ferry and I tried an 18 year old just before hoping on, and it was an outstanding single malt. Horrible whether that morning and it was just perfect right after lunch.

I've had it a time or two and thought it was good but nothing made me want to buy it ahead of a dozen others.

Good lord, there's barely been a post in this thread in week, it's not like this is hijacking some intense conversation about the OP...

A few months ago or so the ABC stores here had a sale on Famous Grouse Smokey Black half gallon. Bought one and wished I bought more. Haven't even seen it in stores since. Nearly as good as many single malts.

So 10% of the latino-heavy precincts (30% Latino) picked a pres but not a senator?

And of those who did pick a senator a large number were split-ticketers?

Not a good trend in California. I understand, Democrats under performed in New York House Districts.

Guess this thread proves there has been a red shift. Democrats will have to address this. The 2026 election will be about retaking the House rather then the Senate. Not sure how Democrats can refresh the Party's image when dealing with gerrymandered district factors.

If Trump does what we think he will do, the Senate will flip so long as elections are free and fair.

LOL, well afraid you are correct that Trump will do what we think he will do. Guess I didn't factor that one.

Just last time I looked, looked like slim pickings on potential Senate pickups. And pretty sure Georgia will flip back to the GOP.
