It always baffles me in circumstances like this how easy it is to find people to go in front of a camera to express surprise that a politician did exactly what s/he said would be done and was widely reported would be done. But how could I know? S/He didn’t tell me personally!

So.... imagine a white person saying this and insert "black" when a Democrat candidate wins and a radical right wing "news" station carries something similar. There wouldn't be a Target in a major city that wasn't looted for necessities like flat screens, video games and pocket books.

Or is the rule still that "white people are the only ones that are racist?"

Looking forward to a very intellectual debate on this one.

Mystal did not go on a 2 minute rant about white people. He went on a rant about Trump's unconstitutional actions being described as "shock and awe" when the voters ( who were predominately white ) knew full well what he would do and supported those actions which will harm minority groups.

After some moments of frustration, where I shot down a bunch of his MAGA bullshit WRT Elon Musk and his Nazi salute, my MAGA Uncle told me that he wished the USA had two presidents and whomever you voted for determined your tax bracket, and which laws you lived under. (Food, Gas, Housing) Prices were determined by political affiliation.

I told him that wouldn't work out for Pubs but that I was DEFINITELY down for it.

That would have to be two nations, but the more we see from Trump the more in willing to accept the dissolving of the US. every state becomes a country.

I think it's important to distinguish two types of FAFO:

1. People who are getting screwed by things they didn't realize might happen. This is the "don't pay too much attention to politics" crowd. They hit some headlines, vote based on prices, etc. They need to learn to pay better attention, but I think they still deserve empathy and assistance.

2. People who are getting screwed by terrible things they did realize would happen, but thought would only happen to other people. Fuck them.
