I mean, it wouldn’t be any more ridiculous than following the guy out because you wanted to make a point of seeing what the guy was driving.
It was very important to you for some reason, so I thought it might be important for your research to make sure it was really his car. For your investigation.

Yes, and everyone's life is just like yours, right. I mean dude probably had a Lexus at home.

You don't appear to understand the concept of being poor. You don't appear to have any empathy.

I understand. I've had to borrow a car to get to work. It's not that far fetched.

You know, unlike you, the welfare office actually checks income status before issuing EBT cards, they don't just hand them to anyone that asks.

By the way what was the guys name? Since you feel that you know everything about him, what was his name? Where did he live, did you stop by to see his penthouse apartment?

You know what a jerk you come across as judging some guy that you really don't know based on his clothes and the car he was driving.

So why are your representatives passing a bill that provides tax breaks for those people and companies that don't need them?

As for Medicaid and other social services, you are assuming people have access to those paperwork. There are people who still do not have access to a computer. Sure they can go to a public place like a library....oh forgot some are being shut down. Surely they can visit a local site or something...oh DOGE.

So now we have these work requirements. So why do these folks need medicaid. That's because those who are not provided full time employment do not get company health benefits. What about caregivers? Those adults who have to care for aging family members? Or those who stayed home to raise kids and then lost their spouse? Training? Education is being cut. Are the training free?

We can dick around with stupid bills like this or simply work towards universal health care.

I drive a 2006 Lexus 430SL . I bought it in 2010. It had 45k miles on it and now has 115k. I love my car because it has no bells and whistles, eg no back up screen , no blue tooth... I am adding around 5000 miles/year. At that rate I estimate that I will still be driving this car when I am 103 years old at which time I will treat myself and buy a brand new 2055 Lexus :)

If only the guy would have gotten into a piece of shit car like Zen required, sort of a stereotype of those using EBT cards, then life would have great and Zen could have accepted that he was deserving. Because we know that's what is truly important, that some privileged white guy in his Lexus approves of your plight.

I think, more than anything, he wants to be proven right. He’s always denied being naga, but before the election, he said he secretly wanted Trump to win so we would see how hysterical we were being and that it wouldn’t be that bad.

Now, he has to find some way to justify every action by the administration. Otherwise, he has to admit that he was wrong.

Unfortunately, by digging his heels in he’s becoming more and more entrenched in maga.

In the moment, it was opportunistic curiosity. I've been in grocery stores thousands of times. Never once have I thought about or been actively interested in EBT. Other than this forum, I have never told the story.

That's what happens when you reply to his nonsense. If you ignore it the thread moves forward, if you respond to it the thread inevitably circles the drain. He will make more and more outrageous claims to goad posters into responding. I don't care about "setting the record straight for lurkers" or "correcting obvious erroneous statements" for people reading this who might believe the bullshit. The only way to deal with it is to ignore it.

BTW: Zen is the Anti-Dude Lebowski. Zen ain't laid back, can't bowl worth a shit and he hates White Russian cocktails but ironically LOVES him some Vlad Putin - a white Russian.

I never said you lied, I just don't believe you had enough information to use the story as you did.

But the welfare queen story is now new, I've heard it from so many people. And I've never heard one that had enough information they all relied on a certain level of worldview bias.
 
My Aunt and Uncle, die hard trump racist and maga cult members believe that their social security is going to go up significantly with the big stupid fucking bill passing, I want to send them the Times article I read detailing the big stupid bill doesn't cut SS taxes as trump the liar says it does. It's also interesting that he made the SS administration put out propaganda statements about the fucking stupid stinking bill.
