When Israel denies it you have to kind of hit pause on Elon giving the nazi salute don't you?

Lots of fascist shit coming from the right. Not sure that's the best thing given it's fascist shit.

And if you want to talk Elon Musk doing Nazi salutes there's a thread for that.

Didn't the board moderator make a related post in this thread? Although I agree it should have its on thread. You seem to be doing a lot of moderating on this thread. Maybe you should apply for the job if they add another one.

Rogan and Bibi are no character witnesses.

I may be incorrect, but I think there is another thread that is rather heavily focused on Elon Musk. Perhaps this thread could stay focused on the Trump Administration's (mis)treatment of Trans folks and LGBT folks and discussions about whether Elon made a Nazi salute could continue to occur there.

Trump repeals rule allowing transgender troops to serve in military

The executive order clears the way for a new ban.

President Donald Trump signed an executive order Monday night that repeals a provision allowing transgender troops to serve in the military, part of a wide-ranging effort to end Biden-era policies his first day in office.

Trump issued a ban during his first administration that prevented transgender troops from serving, which former President Joe Biden eliminated. While Trump did not institute a new ban, the repeal of the Biden-era executive order clears the way for one.

Where is HesNotHere to tell us that trump isn't taking any rights from LGBTQ people?

-Rogan out there saying the left's claims are full of shit and just more cancel culture matters as to perception of the left
-I trust the credibility of the leader of the jewish state over biased media sources
LOL, as if Netanyahu is a honest actor on the world stage. He has a 30% or so approval rating with Israelis and is currently on trial for bribery, fraud, etc. Hanging your hat on that one, eh?

Oh, come one, you were literally doing that in the other thread.

"Don't need a do-over. This thread is about transgender men in women's sports. I'm not aware of what the SOS "just did" or why. Start a thread on that."

Well, you're stupid that way. Bibi has proved that he has the eye on the main chance and doesn't give a shit about ethics and morals but only about power.

Rogan's a little toady for the rich and powerful.

Of all developed western nations’ heads of state, ttump is the runaway winner of the Corruption Derby. There’s an argument to be made that Bibi is #2. A rudimentary heuristic of mine: your relative level of corruption is inversely related to your credibility.

Not to mention Israel’s courting of far-right antisemitic parties throughout Europe. He knows where his bread is buttered.

As some folks requested last night, could we move the interesting but distinct cross-conversation about the Musk Salute to the existing Musk thread (or create a new one if desired) and return this thread to its topic?

Thanks!

Idaho Lawmakers Want Supreme Court to Overturn Same-Sex Marriage Decision

A state legislative committee has advanced a resolution asking that the power to regulate marriage be returned to the states.

“Since 1793, when the U.S. Supreme Court declined a request by President George Washington to offer legal guidance on foreign relations, the court’s justices have steered away from weighing in outside the context of a formal lawsuit.

That has not deterred lawmakers in Idaho, however. This week, a State House committee overwhelmingly passed a resolution calling on the Supreme Court to undo Obergefell v. Hodges, the landmark 2015 decision that gave same-sex couples the right to marry, and to hand the power to regulate marriage back to the states.

The resolution would still need approval by the full House and the Idaho Senate before any request could be sent to the Supreme Court. Both chambers in Idaho are controlled by Republicans.

“Since court rulings are not laws and only legislatures elected by the people may pass laws, Obergefell is an illegitimate overreach,” the resolution reads. It continues: “The Idaho Legislature calls upon the Supreme Court of the United States to reverse Obergefell and restore the natural definition of marriage, a union of one man and one woman.’’ …”

Continued

“… An organization based in Massachusetts called MassResistance has pressed for the resolution, The Idaho Statesman reported. The group describes itself as a “pro-family activist organization” and traces its roots to marriage equality battles in Massachusetts, where same-sex marriage became legal as a result of a 2003 decision by the state’s Supreme Judicial Court.

… Ever since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade in 2022, legal scholars have said that the same-sex marriage ruling may also be vulnerable. Two of the court’s conservative justices, Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito, have suggested that it should be reconsidered.

Still, legal scholars said that Idaho’s approach — with a letter of request, instead of an active legal suit — seemed unlikely to carry weight.

“This is just theater,’’ said Tobias Wolff, a law professor at the University of Pennsylvania. …”
