True. When I reference "Democratic Party", I'm not referencing just Congress, the president, governors, etc. Congressional Dems didn't implement cancel culture, but it's associated with Democrats. Neither Congress, nor any Dem politician, planned Drag queen book reading for kids, but it's associated to Dems and Dem ideals.
Then who is it associated with if it’s not associated with democrats?!

Which democratic ideal is drag queen book readings? No one has that on any platform. I think it’s associated more with republicans because they’re the ones who kept bringing it up. Maybe it’s your ideal because you can’t quit yapping about it.

Until it's new meaning became a thing, I had never used the term.....ever.

BTW, you are also making my point.
Jesus dude somebody has too because you apparently can't? What's your actual point. That liberals are ruining the dominate paradigm and not willing to conform to old racist ideology. I suggest you check yourself before you wreck yourself.

Seemingly here only to try out his ben shapiro shtick for future use.

And why is it associated?

Because a bunch of homophobic people don't understand dress up and cosplay, they associate anything of the such with their misguided sexual issues, so they made a big deal about people in costume reading books. Then because the republicans saw their outrage and knew that their outrage and fear was predictable, the republicans associated it to Dems.

Then the dems, because they believe all people are equal and that people in costumes reading books was not an issue, didn't push back rather they supported the rights of people to read books.

And those who cannot accept that anyone or anything that is different from their narrow world view took more offense and joined up with the trump cult and are trying to take us back to the 1840's when people knew where they belonged. When white men ruled everything. When blacks knew they were below white men. When women knew they were to server their white man. Where the church reinforced that white men were superior to everything. They rode on the back of a brown, no a white man named Jesus.

The Chior director of one church I attended played the role of Edna Turnblad in a local musical production of Hairspray. I wonder why they didn't have a problem with him dressing up as a woman and prancing around the stage?

But they only bring it up to lead the cult to look at it and make false assertions.

So, while the cult is whining about drag queens reading books and trying to get books banned, the Mark Robinson's of the republican party can enjoy Nude Africa without question.

Well, no shit! The people who didn't agree with me were a) liberal and b) often making an emotional argument because it's "mean" to refer to homosexuals as abnormal.
It’s really difficult to take accusations about “democrats being emotional” seriously, when your side keeps trying to elect an irrational fat little cunt who has, throughout his existence, subsisted on making emotional arguments about how he is a victim despite the fact that he has managed to trip his way to one of the most charmed lives by grifting others and telling them how they are also victims.

So you can fuck right off with your manifest destiny/great replacement theory “white people, and especially straight white men, are the real victims” bullshit. Nobody else is buying it. And, if you would be honest with yourself for just the briefest of moments, you don’t believe it either.

Zen probably knows the real reason Trump is still a major force and threat, though he should have no chance.

1) The only demographic Trump has ever won is "uneducated white males." The only other he has come close to winning is "uneducated white females."

2) Republican reps who know better (not the loons in the freedom caucus, MTG, Bobo so many others) but the intelligent sane ones were too cowardly to stand up to Trump. Cruz, Rubio, Mitch, McCarthy, Lindsey Graham, Vance, most others, told us exactly what Trump is and what they think of him. But all the cowards lie and stump for him out of self preservation and the (R). There are not enough brave ethical members in the party like Cheney, Kinzinger, most of Trump's admin. and cabinet.

3) The supposed intelligent voters of the party that self rationalize in voting for Trump another major factor. These are not the uneducated gullible misinformed whites that form the base of the party. These are people like Zen and Heelyeah being as spineless as the reps in the point above. And they rationalize it to themselves. Like Zen here trying to blame Dems for the rise of Trump.

Sorry Zen, it is you and all the others above responsible for inflicting Trump upon us.

I voted Pub for over 30 years, I've never voted Trump. Now, I won't even vote for any of his enablers, the entire Pub, or more acurately. against the entire MAGA ticket.

You could do the right thing also instead of continuing to make excuses for being part of the problem.

Calling Zen and HY intelligent voters who are just too cowardly or irrational to dump Trump seems like a cop-out.

I’d wager they’re more than comfortable with the bigotry, sexism, racism, lying, hypocrisy, and anger. They seem to accept all of the detestable attributes of their candidate despite the generous overtures from folks on this board and others who have spent far too much time attempting to reason with them.

At this point, you may need to consider that Zen and HY perhaps aren’t good people after all. Oh no doubt they care about their immediate family, maybe even their close friends, but as far as the sick, vulnerable, LGBTQ, immigrants, poor? No, they either don’t care for or despise them as much as their dear leader does.

And we’ve seen the same rhetoric and acceptance across the GOP of this behavior. Even actively supporting and promoting it by the rank and file party members. We need to stop shielding them and their supporters from culpability.
