Flying home to Hickory from South Texas right now. I talked to my wife this AM, and one of our big white oaks fell across the street. I have not been able to get in touch with her since. I did talk to a neighbor who said we have two other trees down. I'm pretty sure the wife's internet and Vz cell service are out. This sucks, sucks, sucks. Can't get home fast enough!

Just looked at the live cam at the App State Hickory campus and 321 has some standing water in spots (mostly in the median) but looks OK. Weather has cleared up in the area now.

Not sure about wind. There’s a holler behind me and I can look out over it from the deck. Several trees there have gone down this morning.
