I have not been able to get in touch with my cousin who lives north of Burnsville. I'm concerned.

On the local front, a flash flood warning has been issued for Rocky Mount, Nash and Edgecombe counties. That's not surprising as the Tar River was mighty high yesterday before it started raining.

We were supposed to visit our daughter in Boone for parents weekend. She's fine, but bored, in her dorm. Although I saw a picture in a parking lot next to her dorm with a giant sink hole. Will miss seeing her but it's just not safe on the roads around there.
