In 2022, he started the process of rule-making that arrived at the policy he adopted in June 2024. It could not have gone more quickly. Rules just take a long time to formulate. If you had gone to law school, you'd know that. Also, the 5th Circuit multiple times interfered with his border policy so that was an additional problem.

Why in the world would anyone care about the folks who are here working their asses off to make our country better, and to provide a better life for their families. While I disagree with you, I at least understand where you’re coming from. But my rebuttal would be, don’t we have a big labor shortage in industries like construction, hospitality, service, etc.? If so, I think it’s shortsighted and self-defeating for us to deport or deny entry to the very folks who primarily fill those jobs. At the very, very least if we aren’t willing to grand amnesty or citizenship quickly, we should be handing out work visas like candy, IMO.
