I once watched about the first 5-10 minutes of a Lisa Lampanelli show. It consisted of her articulating ethnic slurs and the audience cheering for them. No real jokes. It was more like a circle jerk in function.Part of my response was aimed at super saying he’s never seen a comedian say things like that.
But that's still miles from "piece of garbage." And I'm not going to dispute your contention that this is relatively mundane stuff -- how could I? I don't go to NYC comedy clubs -- but I don't think it's because I'm somehow sheltered. I would guess that the majority of Americans have not heard such a vile joke from a professional comedian.
