You know it’s a rough day when you’re the guy placed in charge of the Robinson campaign at this point. Lol.

"As a Robinson supporter, I mean - yeah - the black nazi thing is troubling to me, but what can you do? It's not like he can change what color he is..."Robinson supporters say CNN story won’t change their minds about Robinson, or stupid people do and think stupid things.
Wait. So they are only troubled by the black part of the black nazi quote?"As a Robinson supporter, I mean - yeah - the black nazi thing is troubling to me, but what can you do? It's not like he can change what color he is..."
What I write was a tongue in cheek response form a hypothetical partisan GOP voter where only the magic R matters. I will make it clearerWait. So they are only troubled by the black part of the black nazi quote?
They chowed down on Al Franken.I’m not sure it’s “eat their own” as much as it is simply holding elected officials to the moral/personal standards consistent with the office they hold.
Gotcha, my bad. It's like an Onion article that is too close to the truth hahaWhat I write was a tongue in cheek response form a hypothetical partisan GOP voter where only the magic R matters. I will make it clearer
edit: nevermind - my covid-brained poorly-structured joke was aptly deleted by the mods. carry on.
Or maybe we know how he got the new job?I don't think I would use the expression "I have assumed the position" around someone like Mark Robinson.
So the question now presents itself: who has been the worst major party nominee this century. Feel free to nominate additional candidates, but I offer you:
1. Todd Akin (women can't get pregnant if it's a "legitimate rape")
2. Christine McDonnell (the witch)
3. Herschel Walker
4. Mark Robinson
5. Doug Mastriano.
While I'm open to suggestion, I have to think this is really a slugfest between 1 and 4. Herschel was incredibly bad, but I think Robinson has him beat in just about every category.
Roy Moore? So the question now presents itself: who has been the worst major party nominee this century. Feel free to nominate additional candidates, but I offer you:

Yeah, clearly he belongs in Super's list. To be so bad that freakin Alabama would vote for a Democratic senator? You must have been a bad Republican.Roy Moore?
Oh, definitely. I forgot about him. I'm not sure I would include Santos. First, it's a House race -- not nearly the same import. Second, he wasn't a bad *candidate* at all. In fact, he was apparently a great candidate. That everything was a lie isn't quite the same thing. Maybe if all of that stuff had come out before the election, but as a candidate he was fine.Roy Moore?
Well, Missouri's almost as red as Bama and Akin lost by 16 points. Sixteen!Yeah, clearly he belongs in Super's list. To be so bad that freakin Alabama would vote for a Democratic senator? You must have been a bad Republican.
Maybe today. But 2012 Missouri was much more democratic than 2018 Alabama. Missouri still had some residual Yellow Dog Democrats in 2012 (having almost voted for Obama in 2008). To lose Bama as a Republican in 2018 requires a special kind of terrible.Well, Missouri's almost as red as Bama and Akin lost by 16 points. Sixteen!
Yeah, but he actually won.
