IT…DIDN’T…MATTER.I’m depressed too. My argument isn’t that liberals weren’t fired up enough, it’s that the liberal party didn’t present a strong enough economic message to break through to people who don’t follow politics like we do.
Harris’ campaign strategy was not to fire up a liberal/progressive base and drive out their support. It was kind of the opposite. They thought there would be enough suburban women who would make up for them losing working class voters who are primarily concerned with their day to day pocketbook issues. 2016 all over again and the party learned nothing.
There’s no different strategy that would have mattered. If she had done what you mention, it would have alienated the suburbans who didn’t like Trump. We’re so divided right now that 47% will vote for (R) to matter what
YupExactly how I feel. The message this sends is depressing. It doesn't matter if you act like a prick, lie, cheat, break the law, are a convicted felon, brag about sexually assaulting women, and even try to overthrow an election. You can still be President. Don't give me the bullshit about the economy and policies. That shouldn't even matter. There is no way in a sensible society that Trump should ever even be considered for President again no matter how bad the economy is perceived. Half of this country is just either stupid, greedy, racist, bigoted, or some combination of them all. Our country is lost right now.
