You voted for a guy that doesn’t even have realistic policies.

On a side note, this is why democrats might as well have stopped catering to the moderates and implemented some left wing solutions that they could point to. Expand Medicare for all, the child tax credit, etc should have been finalized already and not used as campaign talking points.
I just don’t see that working. Hell, a relatively insignificant student loan forgiveness plan has relentlessly been used to attack them and never polled well.

Speaking of which, I hope Biden puts an end to any and all loan forgiveness that’s currently in the works. Student loans (even PSLF) small business, farm loans. Like, all the paperwork is proper and has been approved and the checks are in the envelopes, but they now go in the shredder. MAGA!!!

It was the economy all along. It is ALWAYS going to be the economy. And not the stock market. It's rent/house prices, gas prices, etc.

When those prices do not come down in the next 2 years that is ALL dems should hammer the GOP on. "Rent is too damn high" - blame them for it. Yeah it's been going up the last 6 years, but blame the party in power for not fixing it...they will then own it

Notably, what I don't see are any "rigged election" accusations coming from the losing side. I didn't hear of any "stop the count!" demands last night when Harris was barely holding the lead in PA. I don't see any whiny refusals to accept the election results. I don't see anyone trying to push misinformation about voter fraud. And I sure as hell haven't heard about Harris trying to manufacture fake votes in key battleground states they lost. How utterly refreshing.

Who was? Certainly not this board. His condition was denied in the strongest way. It wasn't until the debate until most saw the light. But no anger towards those who knew it and hid it from the voters.
Dont care about his/Trump's condition (they have the same mental decline). He was too old, so we all said be a 1-term pres. Beat trump and move on

Your policies aren't winning policies. 70% of the country felt the country was on the wrong track. This after you had 4 years to implement your policies. Your candidate was for open borders, medicare for all, opposed fracking and gas vehicles and gas appliances, and cows, and ......, weakened defense, mandatory gun buy back, and on and on and on with the extremist liberal policies. Run a Jeff Jackson type next election and you win. Move back to the center and away from the AOC wing of the party. Quit making culture war issues the face of your campaigns.
Well the good news is that the country is going to find out what the "wrong track" looks like pretty quickly. We'll see what Republicans do to solve immigration, healthcare, the economy, and the deficit with complete control of the government. The world is their oyster. No more impediments. Who are they going to blame when they don't do anything - the "Deep State"?

I’m of the opinion that fundamental rights should be granted by the federal government, and not willy nilly from state to state. Why should my (or my daughters) rights/protections end at a state line?
I share the same belief as you. I supported Roe. The sticky part is trying to make the case that a woman's right to abortion is granted by the constitution at the federal level. That's a hard argument to make IMO, so it's likely the correct legal ruling that this was left to the states. But the correct moral ruling, based on my personal values at least, is to have federal government protection for abortions up until some point in the 2nd trimester.

People are really dumb then. We couldn’t leave our houses in 2020 and you couldn’t attend football games due to trumps mismanagement and divisiveness. And the economy was wrecked from 21-22 but that was trumps mishandling of Covid. People are just dumb.
This post is certainly dumb and filled with revisionist history. Trump wasn't the president in 21-22. Trump provided a vaccine in record time which brandon had use of. The economy was wrecked in part by dem governors who believed that shutting everything down was the only answer.

I am still in a bit of stunned disbelieve that we have re elected as president of the United States the worst human being on planet Earth, not the worst politician, the worst human being. Willing to say any lie, sell any crap, ignore any law, break any precedent, avoid any responsibility, abuse any group, and throw anyone under the bus.

But it is what it is.

Me and mine will be fine.

Fuck everyone else is my new motto.

Liberals, the Deep State, bureaucrats, teachers, “the schools,” drug companies, sanctuary cities, immigrants, trans, our “allies,”………

Never underestimate Trump’s and the right-wing’s ability to conjure up a “them” to blame.

Student loan forgiveness is a very different issue than Medicare for All, to be fair.

Democrats need to run on universal improvements. I’m for college debt forgiveness, but the optics of the way the Biden admin went about it were horrible.

The optics of forgiving debt just for college students and grads is bad at large. Debt forgiveness for college loans has to be paired with some kind of coherent ideology behind it that presents it as universal. Perhaps credit card reform and medical debt forgiveness.

Democrats keep allowing Republicans to bait them into defending stupid non-issues like trans men playing women's sports, or sex change surgery for trans prisoners. What did Trump say yesterday when asked how he voted on the Florida abortion bill? He said "stop talking about that," and ignored the question.

Democrats need to answer questions about stupid culture war issues with "that's ridiculous, the American people are concerned about kitchen table issues and that is the focus of our campaign." Just do not get drawn into fabricated culture war issues. If you see some bullshit is getting traction as the case of the trans prisoner surgeries, you simply say "the Biden Administration followed the exact same policy that the Trump administration did.....why aren't you asking Trump about this?" and move on.
You're on the money with this. The Democrats are in a really weird place when their candidates can't speak out against biological men playing women's sports and things like that. They've got to let some of that BS go if they don't want to continue bleeding support from the working class, especially.

Right? Trump literally lied and said he SAVED Obamacare when McCain gave the thumbs down, and his people believed him.

They don't need anything good or bad to actually occur, he just has to say what he thinks happened and thats the reality.

But see I'm a non-college degree white working class voter, and that shit doesn't matter one bit to me. Why do people let transgendered individuals run their lives?

And I think a lot of people confuse what farce is saying with people saying we should just give up on rights for trans people, gay people, etc.

Really the opposite is true. We fight for human rights and economic rights for EVERYONE should be the Dems message.

Like y’all say, don’t allow yourself to be dragged into this garbage that the average person doesn’t care about. If you’re explaining, you’re losing.

Are you a moron? The pandemic hit in March 2020. The fall of 2020 was when college games were either cancelled or nobody could attend. We started school remotely. And then voted in the 2020 election. Trump had 9 months to fix it (this will all be over by Easter).

The answer isn't for Dem candidates to "speak out against biological men playing women's sports" it's to refuse to engage on it at all because it is not a real issue or concern.

I guess. However, virtually every Ted Cruz add I saw went:

Transgender

Border

Liberal

Transgender in the Military

Texas Values

Border

Did I say Transgender?

The ads never mentioned Inflation. Trump rarely mentioned inflation over the last 3 weeks.

Who will suffer?

Women

Children

POC

Teachers

Working Class

Elderly (when there are SS, Medicare cuts)

I think because the tax paid surgery for trans inmates was and still is a non issue. It doesn't matter for 99.999% of the population. How many trans inmates do any of y'all know?
Agreed, but I do think it was effective because of all the prejudice against transgenders. To be honest if I were transgender I would be terrified right now. There is no doubt in my mind that Republicans are going to ramp up their attacks on transgenders, and will try to use that as a wedge issue to go after the entire LGBTQ community, at both the federal and state levels in states they control.

Vance already gave that away with his "normal gays" comment - we (gay guys) are boring old news. They want to demonize trans folks in bathrooms and sports. That's their new boogeyman because no one cares about gays and gay marriage.

It feels like they tried to mostly take the "refuse to engage at all on it" approach this cycle and they got hammered on this issue. Especially with the one video that did exist where Kamala advocated for the taxpayer-funded sex changes for prisoners.

For something that is not a real issue or concern, seems easy to just align with the "yeah, we don't support it" side instead of dying on that hill and alienating a ton of voters - especially African American and Latino men.
