Mitch is physically struggling to clearly articulate but his questions, though slow, are sharp. Hegseth is like a sound box with half-a-dozen preprogrammed sound bites that he deploys regardless of the substance of the question. But if you don’t pay attention to the substance, Hegseth sounds stronger.

Putin's summer offensive seems to be lacking results. Haven't seen a collapse of the lines yet. Perhaps a bigger push is still coming.

If I were Ukraine, no way I would negotiate away a single inch of ground.
You know more about this than I do but it seems Ukraine's drone production capability has dramatically changed their leverage. War is literally being reinvented on the border between Russia and Ukraine right now.

I do keep up with the war, but unlikely I know any more then anyone else. I just think when there are regular comments that things are bad for Ukraine and that Ukraine is going to lose so they had better negotiate something, that there needs to be pushback. The front lines are holding pretty well and it just seems that Russia is unable to take advantage even if there is a breakthrough.

Saw where someone made a very good point that just over two years ago, Russia controlled a heck of a lot more ground and a major city yet Ukraine didn't give up. So why would they think about giving up now? Thought it was a good point.

It may be time for Trump to offer military support to Russia in order to bring Ukraine back to the negotiating table to cede Ukraine to Russia for the good of its people. There has been so much death and destruction to Ukrainians because Ukraine foolishly resisted peaceful Russian annexation efforts to restore freedom and economic prosperity to a nation that has suffered as an aspiring democratic republic.

Maybe this is just Western Press putting its thumb on the scale, but it seems to me there is a real difference between Russian and Ukranian attacks. Ukranian precisely attack bombers on the ground that had been used to launch cruise missles at Ukraine and precisely attacks ammunition depots and ammunition factories. Small explosives are planted in Russian to take out specific military leaders. Russia just lobs high explosives in the general direction of urban areas in what amounts to WW2 area/terror bombing.
