Interesting. Okay, so this may seem like a dumb question but I am genuinely trying to understand: how would they prove intent to murder in this situation today, if Florida is an open carry state (and thus I assume the would-be assassin is allowed to carry the gun) and assuming that there was no previous written or verbal threat to try to kill the former president?
Florida Man + 2nd Amendment solution = Legal

Unless Trans or reading a black history book...

Look, if the MAGAs can question the authenticity of shootings where we have actual, verifiable photo evidence of kindergartener bodies blown to shreds, they can certainly indulge us the skepticism of whether Donald Trump is actually a victim of attempted assassination attempts, especially since we’ve yet to see any photo evidence, medical reports, or really anything in the way of investigative reports from the first one two months ago.

It ain’t no fun when the rabbit has the gun, is it MAGA?

As there ever been a more exhausting person in the history of this country?

When will the national nightmare finally be over?
Assuming that none of these assassins find their mark- and we obviously certainly hope and pray that’s the case that they do not- then it’ll be over on or shortly after Tuesday, November 5, 2024.

I will be so glad when Trump is just gone for good. Not saying killing him is right, but I will be relieved when he is dead. I guess I will have to pray for forgiveness about that.
As our Republican candidate for governor says…

😬 Sorry Center. By no means was I trying to bring you two closer together.
well… I would “like” this comment too, but I see he’s already weighed in with a “like”. So I will simply comment back and say I appreciate your efforts. But HY is on ignore and inching his way towards super ignore. And unless he crawls on his knees and begs forgiveness, saying 10 Our Fathers and 20 Hail Marys - he will continue to be in the shithouse as far as I’m concerned. I would still put my best fastball in his ear if the m-fer had the balls to come up to bat against me.

1. Pointing weapon where Trump was expected to be at some point.

2. Had scope.

3. Dropped weapon and ran when confronted by secret service.

4. Had go pros.

They will likely do an interview (and because he is crazy he may not invoke his right to be silent) and may make some incriminating statements about his intent then.

Feds will conduct a foresnsic investigation of his electronic devices and talk to all his acquaintances. Odds are that he made some incriminating statements online or did some incriminating internet research.

I suspect the defense lawyer will focus on insanity as his main defense. Pretty sure intent would be a layup for the prosecution.
