How in the world did you find that picture ? Paul Daeke was a damn good guitarist but among us he was known as the laziest man in Henderson. For so many years after high school he did not travel outside Vance County

Paul sent me the picture. And actually he did leave Vance County after high school. He went to college at both Chowan and Campbell.

I'm from Rocky Mount and moved to Henderson after high school to be a DJ at WIZS and that's how I met all those guys. Most the best friends I've ever had were from Henderson.

C'mon man, I said "back in the day". I trace my back in the day music to my first concert circa 1964... Sonny and Cher with the Sir Douglass Quintet as the opening act
