I saw CNN say the federal government spent $4.5 trillion in 2019. Last year, it spent $6.2 trillion. How did the government expense ballon 38% in 5 years? There has to be cuts.

$2536 per student sounds insane.
What way insane ? high or low
Most Fed money helps locals fund up what we use to call "Special ed" This has"I think" expanded to "high risk" So in very poor counties with lots of high risk students Fed funding is a pretty big deal
Wake County schools -which is huge , but not poor , receives 141 million this year in federal funding-6% of their budget

high. North Carolina spends $12k a student. $15k per student is insane.

The average per pupil spend in the US (including local, state and federal) is $17k. In California, it is close to $25k

It costs a lot of money to educate kids.
Denmark is at $12k and considered the best in the world. Sweden is at $17k. I’m stunned by this but it seems like you are right. It costs a lot.

And multiple across the board cost of living increases plus paying for Trump's extravagance. Here's the budget number to use, btw. Cherry pick your facts much?

$7.71 trillion in 2020,
I said 2019 was $4.5 trillion. What number are your challenging as that seems correct.

Sure and so is the 7.71 trillion. Your implication, of course, was how much things worsened instead of pointing out that things got worse under Trump before they improved under Biden. Yes, you probably got confused that I responded to your implied argument rather that the BS you were trying to sell.

Numbers get dicey when you introduce Covid. That’s why 2019 is good. It has nothing to do with Biden-Trump.
