If Kamala loses (and Congress goes red), and I think she will lose, Democrats have no one to blame but themselves. Yes, the odds always stacked against liberals in this country despite what morons think about our media. But she and her campaign have played into the "economy is terrible" narrative by distancing herself from Biden and not telling Americans honestly how their situation is not unique. It's the result of Covid. Yes, I know Americans are idiots but you could still make the case and show them how well we've done with a universal dilemma. And they simply haven't. So, of course, a good deal of Americans believe the nonsensical Republican narrative.
For my part, I will blame every person who voted for Trump.

And they could have pounded Trump on his mismanagement of Covid, connecting it to the economic situation the past few years (which is true), kind of like Obama sort of did at the rally this past week. But they haven't.

Just a terrible take.

What are you talking about? The Dems spent years talking about how the inflation was worldwide and a result of Covid. The reason they aren't saying that now is that it didn't work because Americans don't understand.

There are literally Americans loudly complaining that prices aren't going back down (hey, your wages are going up, dipshits) and a GOP candidate who is apparently paying no price for promising massive tariffs that will lead to an inflationary doom loop, and you're blaming Dems for not explaining economics to Americans?

What makes you think you understand how to message better than the dozens of brilliant, experienced pros that are working on the campaign.

I guarantee you they have looked at that line of attack, and found it wanting. Probably because, "more Americans died of Covid under Biden than Trump" which is more idiotic nonsense but people believe it because I guess they think the president has unlimited magical powers.
