Sounds ominous

I wonder if this means they will try to reject certification of enough states to force it to the house on a state-by-state basis?

Or maybe state legislatures will override the popular vote in their states? I believe this would require a constitutional challenge to the Electoral Count Reform and Presidential Transition Improvement Act.

Trump is definitely dumb enough to talk about this before the election even happens. He does that all of the time even though that delegitimizes his claims.

When you consider that some of the Trump Campaign's biggest and most influential backers (Musk, Thiel, etc) are extremely wealthy people who basically want to be Gilded Age-era monopolists, it makes perfect sense.
They have like 90%+ of wealth but want it all. Pretty simple what the GOP and their RNC are about. How much does the GOP love its supporters: "The United States is still the only country in the developed world without a system of universal healthcare". Given, our cousin to the north, Canada, still doesn't have full coverage...medications. That's what I read.

It's like MAGA has come to the conclusion that if you say a whole bunch of racist stuff at one event, most of it gets lost because there is too much to adequately cover.
However, it does appear that the slurs against Latinos is having an impact.
I don't usually check Fox News for anything, but after that disastrous rally I did check their website out of curiosity last night and they were proudly promoting the NYC rally all over their page, talking about all of the celebrities who appeared (like Dr. Phil, lol) and how they hit Kamala hard and so on.

I checked Fox's website again this afternoon and they have dropped nearly all mention of the rally. I think that is likely a good indicator of how well the rally has gone over. Instead they're running stories on polls and Harris supporters yelling at babies (!) and AOC criticizing Harris for having someone on stage that she doesn't like. Not even much effort to defend what was said at the rally.

And that would require a constitutional challenge to the following language from the constitution:

"Congress may at any time by Law make or alter such Regulations"

I actually don't think the c-word would be as damaging, but it would get a lot more play on the airwaves and drive the PR comment out. So at the moment, I'm kind of glad they did that.

Calling someone a c*** is crass but it's the sort of thing you hear at comedy shows frequently. Hell, Jim Jeffries uses the word dozens of times per show (with a different meaning and reference, of course, but still). And it's a one-off thing that doesn't necessarily represent a sentiment. It's dismissable as bad taste.

But the "garbage" comment is truly shocking. That isn't something you hear every day. Or any day. And there's no sugar coating it, or saying locker room talk, or anything of the sort.

Of course, the c-joke might also have had a lot of objectionable content besides just the word.

Elon Musk has the GOP covered with C-word jokes anyway.

And for telling her elderly followers to skip their power bill this month if they need to in order to make a donation to her ministry.

The garbage comment is also not clever enough to pass as a roasting.

Honestly, focusing on Trump’s outrageous commentary distracts from topics more important to his character and fitness for office. It’s better to remind potential voters of Jan. 6; his contempt for the rule of law; his ignorance on foreign diplomacy; his refusal to follow advice from his advisors; his shady business dealings; his ties to Russia, and more.

You don't know women then as well as you should. It is virtually the worst pejorative to sling their way. There will be payback...

Is it really, though? All of those things have been widely publicized for the last 4-8 years. Reminding potential voters of something they already know—and have likely already passed judgement on long ago—seems kinda futile at this point. Whereas each new racist/sexist/fascist diatribe Is a fresh reminder of the garbage human being that Trump is, void of even the most basic leadership skills.

Trump's M.O. is to create as much noise and smoke as possible to cover the central truths. And to tell more lies, projection, and distraction from his clear record of criminal activity, conspiracy against the US and our Constitution, conspiring with enemies of the United States, bribery, blackmail, emoluments, bank fraud, election fraud, igniting a riot against our US Capitol, witness tampering, stealing the nation's top secrets and sharing them - including with our enemies, by firing the pandemic team in 2018 and incompetence during COVID over 700K lost their lives that did not need to...as well as excessive QE and tariffs that exacerbated inflation.

The "joke" is that "C word" is a reference to Kamala being a "C"ommunist.
No, no, and no.

The Communist bit is just a cover to call her a cunt. When one of their brain-dead followers reads that tweet, they aren’t thinking “Yeah man, she’s totally a communist.” They are thinking EXACTLY what they are meant to think about her: She’s a cunt. This is by design.

Giving them cover by insinuating it’s a clever play on the communism angle is the same kind of bullshit sane-washing that the media has been doing for years on Trump’s behalf.

These people are misogynistic scum. Don’t normalize them.

(Apologies for my use of the c-word. It was the best way for me to get my point across regarding the depravity of these people).
