TV Streaming series to talk about.

We finished Landman over the Holiday weekend. Really enjoyed it and thought Billy Bob was/is a great character.
I'm enjoying Landman for what it is but one of my small gripes is that every line they give Billy Bob is so...fucking...slick. Everything he says is a witty quip that attempts to make him sound so suave. A little thick for me. And the female characters are a joke.

Is it like Yellowstone? Because that show was fucking terrible. I don’t want to watch some alternate version of that.

My wife and I watched over the weekend.

We enjoyed it.

Sad that someone of the characters died while other, more worthy, didn't.

Is this meant to accurately portray the time period? Was Brigham Young that much of a douche?
I haven't seen the show, but to answer your question about Young - yeah.

I’m hoping season 3 of White Lotus can live up to seasons 1 and 2, but it’s such a high bar. Episode 1 introduced a family of characters from NC with UNC/Duke divided household.

Have never heard of the show but this is what eventually wore me out with Californication. Every single line Duchovny delivered was soooo perfectly quippy. It became too much.

It also happens with a lot of Sorkin’s work. It’s overkill.

Watched the first two episodes of new HBO Series, “The Pitt.” It’s basically ER using 24’s timing. Each episode is one hour in real time.

Really like it so far.
It's actually a MAX streamer. Hour 7 [2-3 p.m.] dropped today. Noah Wyle stars in it and a number of ER showrunners are involved. Just got renewed for a second season. We like series like this where there's one episode per week. We had missed the first 3 or 4 weeks but caught up over the course of the last several. Very good show.

Reacher season 3 is back today on Prime. Season 2 was pretty weak IMO but I’ve read good reviews for this new season.

It really is good especially if you were a fan of ER.

Having also slogged through season 1 of Silo, I watched 2.01 and then just jumped to watch the finale. I wish it could be better, but the same problems of some wooden acting (Robbins is even poor, and Common is just awful), dull filler material and odd changes from the novels made me skip the middle and just read about it. I like Ferguson a lot, she is clearly committed to this project, and I wish it could be better.

I have seen some episodes of White Lotus, and to me it's just daytime soap opera stuff on streaming, semi-adult TV. Not my thing; out a long time ago.

I like Slow Horses, but a lot of the writing is often just sitcom level comedy, a bit forced and not always great. I see Oldman as one of the best actors alive, so that keeps my interest. Way behind and may catch up later.

Anyone else watch Cobra Kai? I thought it was fun, even if it was corny at times. I liked how they ended it by coming full circle with Johnny and Cobra Kai.

I thought the first season was pretty good, downhill from there.

I watched season 1 of White Lotus, some good parts. Alexandra Daddario. :)

But I really didn't like Stifler's mom.

I expected to like Slow Horses much more than I have. Bailed early in S2. Will probably jump back in at some point.

I struggled with S2 of Night Agent as well. Just finished it.

On the other hand, I did like Costner’s Horizon. Not ground breaking but I enjoyed it.

2nd season of Night Agent was not nearly as good as the first season.

Season 2 is better than 1.

No Daddario or Sweeney though.
Haven’t seen 2 yet. But I’ll watch it eventually. Season 1 was fine, not great.

Loooove Daddario, unparalleled… but as for Sweeney, aside from her bombshell little body, she looks like literally any other constipated teen or college girl out there. Really not all that pretty, just young. At least not my type anyway.
