What about him?What about Kitchens?
I'm all for hiring Kitchens on the cheap...He did a very good job coaching the running backs and the tight ends. He could probably maintain the 100 year history of 7-5 seasonsWhat about Kitchens?
What if hes our new coach periodWhat about him?
Dude. We aren't hiring anyone for a million. The absolute lowest salary for a P4 head coach is $3 million-ish. Any coach we hire will minimum be at $5 million a year. But the annual salary isn't even the biggest issue; it is the buyout. A $20 million-plus buyout is pretty routine these days.so hire old man Belicheck for a year or two on the cheap... maybe 1 million/yr to give us some PR
then hire his 37yo son who had a decent year as DC for Washington and give him a 3yr contract as HC for 2 million/yr...
I'm fairly confident that coaching combo could continue our 100 year tradition as a 7-5 football program.
Did you see the (lousy) job he did as had coach of the Browns? What about Kitchens?
Fire him along with everyone else on this garbage staff. What about Kitchens?
New coach will probably keep a position coach or two just for continuity. I wouldn’t mind Kitchens being one of them.Fire him along with everyone else on this garbage staff.
Whatever happens: did anyone have on their 2024 bingo card "NFL game day shows will be doing features on whether Bill Belichek will be the next coach of UNC football?"
I mean, it's wild that this even has legs. I get that BB's son makes the move sound more sober than first glance, but still. It's fucking wild.
I predict that BB would immediately obtain a high quality QB. 95% of college QBs would be thrilled to play under the guy who made Tom Brady.
OTOH (based on his girlfriend), he’s a big fan of well developed youth.I have a hard time seeing Belichick as a college coach. The guy has been NFL his entire career. He also famously didn’t like undeveloped youth. Dunno, seems likely to backfire.
You're right, it's bonkers. It's like if Roy Williams or Mack were considering a coaching swan song at your local high school.Whatever happens: did anyone have on their 2024 bingo card "NFL game day shows will be doing features on whether Bill Belichek will be the next coach of UNC football?"
