Wait, Vance trusts local law enforcement but he doesn’t trust local educators and doesn’t trust local doctors?

YOU RADICAL LIBS, YOU HAVE TO DENOUNCE SOMETHING THAT NEVER HAPPENS, OR ELSE I'LL HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO BELIEVE THAT YOU SUPPORT THE MURDER OF BABIES IN THE THIRD TRIMESTER, WHICH DOESN'T EVER HAPPEN!

Republicans are so funny, man. "DENOUNCE SOMETHING THAT DOESN'T HAPPEN!!! YOU MUST DENOUNCE IT!!! SAY THAT YOU DON'T BELIEVE THAT SOMETHING THAT DOESN'T EVER HAPPEN SHOULD BE ILLEGAL! SAY IT!"
They get directly asked by the moderators to respond to that position in almost every debate, and they fail to do it every time. No clue why. It’s always a great opportunity for them to prove you guys right and say that they have a common sense line in the sand, but none of the politicians on the stand are ever willing to do it.

It’s just so fucking stupid

Because nobody who is actually serious and moveable politically actually believes something as absurd as "Democrats think that it should be legal to electively rip babies out of their mother's womb at 34 weeks just for shits and giggles!"

Seems they would take one of the many opportunities that have been presented to set the record straight.

The real answer is, just like most Republican voters have an abortion position similar to what JD Vance just articulated, most Democratic voters have an abortion position similar to what you guys advocate for on here.

What folks on here miss though is, just as the actual Republican politicians are beholden to the lunatics on the religious right on this issue, the Democratic politicians twist themselves into a pretzel to not draw ANY line in the sand, even when repeatedly pressed on it and asked to clarify.

TLDR - politicians suck on this issue

Wut? Yeah, Vance clearly articulated a centrist position on abortion. The only criticism anyone reasonable could have to his response is to say “yeah but he doesn’t really believe what he just said”, because what he said was dead on the money.
Well it’s obvious he doesn’t believe it because it’s not the position he’s ever taken as a Senator. If you take seriously what he said it’s a bigger flip flop than Kamala Harris on fracking. He articulated a centrist position because they’re getting killed on this issue and leaving it to the states is part of the problem. Maternal mortality in TX is skyrocketing because it’s left up to the states.
