Assuming they aren't straight up partisan, they might be assuming that Trump wouldn't do what he says he's going to do. Which isn't exactly what the question asks but I'm guessing the polled economists give it less than a minute's attention.

Vance keeps harping on the need for transparency. I would think that a competent reporter could ask if Vance will release his tax returns given his deep concern about the importance of transparency.
