It is until you realize the intense racism and sexism and homophobia and sexual puritanism and resentment/envy of others and mass gullibility to con artists and religious cult leaders and disdain for "experts" that have run throughout American history. Then it makes a lot more sense.
 
Unfortunately Tony Hinchliffe really does believe in the MAGA. Which is strange considering his sexual preferences. I enjoy watching KillTony but cringe when I think about what he actually believes.

I think we way overuse “whistleblower” these days to imbue people with unearned credibility, so grain of salt on this report, but it is easy to believe about the grift at the top b/c it appears from the outside to be grift all the way down.
 
John Heilemann reporting on MSNBC this morning that the Harris campaign is not very optimistic about NC or AZ. Holding out hope for Georgia.

Yeah, AZ looks bad. Anecdotally, I will say that the early long lines for voting have dissipated in my red county. My son strolled in and voted without a wait on Saturday morning and the early voting location hasn’t been overflowing since the first several days it opened.

So it’s the Blue Wall and the Blue Dot or bust.
 
I guess it’s the last week of the election season because Democrats, if this board is any indicator, have seemingly resigned themselves to defeat.

Folks: the. race. has. not. changed. in. weeks. if. not. months. It hasn’t. This board was brimming with confidence during the DNC and shortly thereafter. The race hasn’t changed since then. Stop obeying in advance.

I mean, if we are all seeing the same numbers then I don't see why we wouldn't be. The data isn't looking great.

That 270-268 scenario is looking more likely as the only possible way to a W it seems.

The data hasn’t changed. There have been tiny movements within the margin of error. That’s it. This is all nothing more than people’s stress and anxiety. I’m not blaming anyone for feeling those things, but those are the explanation for the doom and gloom, not any actual meaningful data.

Idk, we’re getting national polls that have trump above 50. We’re getting high quality state polls today in places we need to win that have him above 50. That’s different.
I’ve thought for the past week, Harris is maxed out at 286. NC is a cess pool and won’t vote for her (I did my part)
Arizona and nevada are not breaking her way.
Comes down to michigan, Wisconsin, PA and GA and we have to win 3 of those
 
I can’t be the only one who can’t wrap their head around what’s happening here. For Pete’s sake, every communication out of the republicans at this stage is about fascisim and racism and hatred, and they are doing it brazenly because it plays very well, apparently. And the people yell hurray because they think this is fun? Wtf. If Trump wins some sort of me wants the whole thing to collapse in on itself. And while everyone suffers, those dumbasses I want to suffer disproportionately so. I would want so bad for them to be crushed under their decision and feel the realization of their own dumbass. I want them to have eternal ridicule and derision.

Hitler had a war to drive the “success” of his regime, at least for a while. What tf do our current numb nuts have when it all collapses. What’s the thing that makes them feel good about what’s happening. Another war? It’s all disgusting and repulsive.

Most folks take for granted that they’ll have another legit chance to shine. For possibly generations, should the GQP take power, they absolutely will not conduct free and fair elections.

Every election is framed as the most important. However, every subsequent election against an overtly fascist and retributive authoritarian party is indeed the most important. Democracy desperately needs NC to come through, bc I don’t trust WI and MI.
