This is basically what Herbert Hoover and his rich buddies were saying in 1932:
“No one knew how to combat the Great Depression, but certain wealthy Americans were sure they knew what had caused it. The problem, they said, was that poor Americans refused to work hard enough and were draining the economy. They must be forced to take less. “Liquidate labor, liquidate stocks, liquidate the farmers, liquidate real estate,” Treasury Secretary Andrew Mellon told President Herbert Hoover. “It will purge the rottenness out of the system. High costs of living and high living will come down. People will work harder, live a more moral life. Values will be adjusted, and enterprising people will pick up the wrecks from less competent people.”

“Slash government spending, agreed the Chicago Tribune: lay off teachers and government workers, and demand that those who remain accept lower wages. Richard Whitney, a former president of the Stock Exchange, told the Senate that the only way to restart the economy was to cut government salaries and veterans’ benefits (although he told them that his own salary—which at sixty thousand dollars was six times higher than theirs—was “very little” and couldn’t be reduced).”
I thought that was 1930, not 32 but your point stands. I suppose I could google it.

Hate to see it!!!!!!!!!

Nimrata, you've chosen to stick with the party who would prefer you change your name to something less ethnic, shut up and get in the kitchen or the bedroom, and also seeks to take even more rights away from your fellow human sisters.

So it's a complete mystery why they would want you to fuck off. Maybe one day we'll know the answer 🤞

Fuck around, find out, things of that nature. Lol at Nikki Haley.

I have a different take here, based in part on her criticisms of Trump in this interview

I think she could be triangulating — keeping her spot in the party but releasing her supporters to vote against Trump and his Bro Superfriends

Nikki Haley is such a loser. It is truly pathetic to watch.
I actually find her current actions and activities humorous and entertaining as hell.

She’s a right-wing lightweight who some Republicans/Conservatives have tried to promote as a thoughtful and principled leader.

She’s enjoying the well-earned fruits of her “labors.”

I hear you, for sure. I think that is a very, very charitable view of Haley- but I fully acknowledge that mine is a very, very uncharitable view of her. I think she has had plenty of opportunity to do the "right thing" and every single time she has chosen to sell more and more of her soul.

I still remember when a couple of years ago there were conservatives on the old IC ZZLP who insisted that Haley was a viable alternative to Trump and that she would be a force in the presidential primaries. And I and a bunch of other posters kept pointing out that, given the makeup of the Trumper GOP base, there was no way that a darker-skinned daughter of Sikh immigrants whose birth name was Nimarata Randhawa would ever come close to winning the GOP nomination. And she never will. If she runs in 2028 she'll lose again to JD Vance or some other white male contender.

My wife was showing me some Megyn Kelly rant on tiktok where she was going off about the MSG rally being "too bro-tastic" and saying "is there not a single woman in the room to tell them to stop?" I was like...no?

You do realize she emerged as the last person standing against Trump in the primaries right? After there were many people on the stage to start. She didn’t exactly fall flat on her face in the primary like Kamala 2020 or something.

DeSantis ran an awful campaign. Haley ran a good one.
